We visited this quirky bistro bakery while staying in Cape Town last week. The food was fantastic. Try the lamb burgers if you visit, you will not be disappointed! We were surprised to find such good food and service in the midst of the busy V & A centre where fast food outlets seem to prevail. We will certainly return.

Was really excited to see that the Waterfront has a new sit-down deli/bakery location as the old waterfront coffee places seem to be getting a bit stale.

We sat outside which was not very relaxing because it is right in the middle of the hussle and bustle. Ordered coffee and juices. The juice was good but 3/4 of the glass was full of ice. We ordered a chick-pea frittata which was tiny and a bit greasy.

The funny thing is that they market themselves as a bakery-based restuarant but the pastry goods inside look very average. Not delicate items designed for a so-called deli/bakery.

Not sure if I would go especially to the waterfront to revisit. During the week would definately aim for Jasons Bakery in Bree Street.

and the sandwiches are fantastic to boot. Good fun people watching whilst you eat your yummy sandwich. Cakes look fantastic but beware the portions are rugby player sized!

We stopped here for coffee but ended up staying for lunch because the menu looked fantastic and the food that was coming out around us looked amazing! I had the steak sandwich which was gorgeous (if not a little messy to eat!) They specialise in artisan breads here and it's well worth having some kind of sandwich to try it. We liked it so much, we came back another day for lunch. This time my fiancé had the mustard chicken salad and I had the roast vegetable salad. Both were generous portions and came with some lovely ciabatta bread as well. We really enjoyed the food and the service was fantastic. Would happily recommend.
