What makes this place so outstanding, is the fact that the owner is usually there. The staff are amongst the best in the Cape, especially Brad, who always seems to know what you want before you do! The quality and portion size are excellent and finally, I have never left there feeling hungry! There is a great special of hake (2 pieces) & chips for R49.95, this includes a basket of bread on the table, Their fish is always fresh as the owner Robbie, is fussy who he buys from. The steaks are legendary both in quality & size, they are well known in Durbanville for their espatada. I for example like pasta cooked a certain way with calamari, even though not on the menu Robbie's philosophy is always "no problem". I suppose this is what makes this place such a pleasure coming back time & time again. If you have an owner willing to tweak the odd meal for one, and still be cheerful about it, then they deserve all the support they can get. Cocktail specials, 2 for the price of one, I think from 4.30 - 6 please check times. Great place for functions & cosy meals, something for everyone on their menu. Desert lovers are in for a treat, extremely wide variety.
