Owner description: The Two Oceans Aquarium is a window into the spectacular oceans surrounding the southern African coast. Through displays ranging from the small and almost fantastical Knysna seahorses, to sea turtles and shoals of shimmering fish, the aquarium holds wondrous discoveries around every corner. Come face-to-face with giant spider crabs and have an adventurous tactile experience at the Touch Pool. Be sure to visit the I&J Ocean Exhibit, with its 9m long window, and 10m long full tunnel. Qualified divers can also make use of the opportunity to dive in this exhibit with shoals of fish and turtles. The Jelly gallery is sure to mesmerize and enthrall.

If you have time you really should go, I was very impressed with the wall of fish and the sea horses that they have are so beautiful.
The feeding of the penguins is very amusing.

I have visited on a rainy day but would have been there on any other day: I loved it! It was one of the best places I have been in Cape Town. I have never thought I would see plankton or so many varieties of jellyfish! The aquariums are well kept and in some areas there are people explaining about the behavior of some very interesting creatures like microorganisms and sea anemones. You can feed them and touch them!

I also really enjoyed the "Nemo" aquarium, where you are surrounded by fishes, the different crustaceous and the predator tank with sharks and stingrays. I will definitely go back!

The aquarium is right at the waterfront, at the city sight-seeing bus departure point which is very handy. Lots of tanks full of amazing fish etc to look at, lots of great info too. There is a touching pool where you can hold/touch starfish etc. A great place to spend 2 hours, finishing off with a relaxing sit in front of a HUGE tank of mixed fish/shark/tortoise etc.
