the sunwashed beach drew us to the water. We rolled up our pants and dipped our toes into the iciest waters we've tried (and we have a house in Canada!)

We visited this lovely seaside town and it was bursting with a holiday vibe that was so welcoming. The long white sandy beach was quite full as the weather was particularly good. There were many people swimming and really enjoying the splendour of the beach.

As I think most do, we ate at the Fisherman's Wharf. The fish was super fresh, and although we had to stand in line it was well worth the wait. Seating outside was at a premium, but the turn around time was quick and we sat and enjoyed our meal to the life sounds of a African Marimba band playing on the quay side.

After lunch we took a stroll around the harbour, sight seeing some of teh local fishing boats and local shops and was amazed as there was this local coloured chap that was feeding the wild seal, and even did a couple of holding it in his mouth and the seal rose out of the water to take the fish straight form his mouth. It was entertaining.

Nice place to visit and really feel you have found a piece of beauty!

Stopped at Chapmans Peak on our tour of the Cape thanks to our guide. We took a lot of time to take photos and capture in our minds the wonderful vista before us.

Houtbay is very beautiful. The drive from Cape Town is very scenic. Try the fish and chips at the restaurant on the waterfront, their cocktails are good too!
