“not worth it”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

it is good, that things should not be forgotten, I read a lot about District Six and Apartheid, so I had rather high expectations. But when I was there I didn ´t get a better feeling for the time and left it disappointed.

“Poorly designed”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2013

This is essentially a shrine to the displaced population of district 6 exhibiting personal recollections of life in the district and some contemporary artefacts. Whilst the concept is commendable, the design & layout of the exhibits was poor with no start or finish. There was information overload.
Overall we found it confusing. It deserves a thorough revamp.

“Very moving”

Well presented and heart wrenching. I left in tears but enjoyed viewing the area from a whole new perspective afterwards knowing it's history.

“Grim but rewarding”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

A time capsule about a destroyed community giving some idea of the diversity of the area. However, displays are often difficult to read.
