This hotel is superbly located on the V & A waterfront minutes from all the attractions and restaurants with great views of Table Mountain
The rooms are spacious with all the expected facilities and the bathroom was as big as most hotel rooms I have stayed in
The staff are friendly and helpful
A great place to stay

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view

Even prior to arrival, V&A had the fastest and clearest responses to email inquiries. Of particular note is Candace's handling of tours inquiries--quick responses and good advise.

Upon landing, the car service that the hotel arranged went without problems. Note that Cape Town standard cabs are small sedans like Toyota Corollas. If you are arriving with lots of luggage as we were (family of 4), please be sure to book an appropriate vehicle.

Check in went smoothly. That was the last time I was called "sir." From then on, almost all hotel staff called my wife and I by name.

We got the junior suite and a connecting room with a view of Table Mountain on the 2nd floor. The rooms are sizeable and I in fact wonder why the hotel required us to take two rooms--our family prefers to stay together and a sofa bed or even 2 extra beds would've fit easily.

From the room, you do hear some noise from passing boats / yachts (the hotel is on V&A Waterfront, a working harbor, after all) as well as from the buskers. But it was never bothersome and goes away after 8 or 9pm.

Lucy at the travel desk was phenomenally helpful. She arranged for us a safari, a winelands tour, and a Cape Peninsula trip. Each is highly recommended and priced competitively vs. online options I explored.

The hotel location is top notch. 5 minutes walk to the mall where you find a large grocery (Pick n Pay), pharmacy, and lots of restaurants from food court to fine dining. 5 minutes the other direction and you are at the Two Oceans Aquarium and the boarding station for the open top bus tours, both highly recommended.

There is a continental breakfast spread as well as hot meals prepared to order. The South African breakfast, French Toast, and Flap Jacks were firm family favorites. If you are adventurous food-wise, fresh oysters and wine are on offer at the breakfast buffet!

Housekeeping was effective and responsive. A request for extra pillows scribbled on a little note was noticed and acted on.

We would certainly stay in this hotel again should we return to Cape Town.

. . right on the waterfront with views to Table Mountain.
We were in a 'loft bedroom' which were comfortable and well sized with all the facilities you would expect from a city hotel. The view from the room was towards the water front with Table Mountain as the backdrop - fantastic. The room was clean and well maintained.
All staff were eager to help with your requests and everything was smooth operation.

On a business trip to Cape Town. This hotel was in a fantastic location, nestled underneath the imposing table mountain at the V&A waterfront development.

Fantastic food, great service and light and airy rooms.

Perfect stay.

Hard not to star with the location, you are in the middle of the waterfront action, plenty of restaurants to try around, good food in the hotel itself and if you seat out in the bar/restaurant you are right next to the water with a perfect view of table mountain. The rooms are nicely set, spacious and comfortable.

Last but for sure not least is the service, all the staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and with your needs taken care of.
