“Great hotel”
Reviewed May 27, 2014

I stayed there for a night on May 5th, 2014. Great hotel, very good location (5 minutes from the Green market), quiet, clean and food is good. The room I booked was supposed to be small. Actually, it is not that small since the space is well used.

Long street is just up the road, contemporary decorated. Its an old hotel but it is very nicely decorated. Our room service was served by an old lady who has worked there for 40years and love the hotel and how good they have been to her. Had no option but to give her a very good tip she reminded me of my granny. The room sevice was good and breakfast so overall its a lovely hotel for business travellers and the town is very safe for walking....

Stayed here for 11 days on a solo trip in one of the deluxe rooms. Not the biggest room but big enough and great bang for your buck with a great location in the middle of town. Entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. After I arrived I noticed the window in my room wasn't closing properly and causing a bit of a draft. Phoned down to the front desk and someone was up to fix it in under 2 minutes. Only complaint would be that the a la carte breakfast left a little to be desired, eggs always seemed a little runny, that could also just be my personal taste though. That being said the buffet and dinner were always great and the service was outstanding. I will return!

Room Tip: Request a room on an upper floor overlooking Table Mountain for a spectacular view to wake up to eve...

My booking came with free breakfast ( not sure if they all do.) The breakfast was delicious. Cooked to order hot items and a buffet of Pastries, fruit, cheeses & cold meats. I used the laundry service offered, was happy with it. The reception was friendly and helpful with directions. free good working wifi. They gave me a cookie & bottle of water each evening. Lots of movies (older) show on the T.v in room. took about 30 min walk to the Waterfront. Restaurant had wonderful food & staff.

It's a business hotel without any special features. But nothing to complain as well. Breakfast had a choice on top of the buffet.
It is very good located to access commercial center, V&A and Table Mountain, and the restaurants and bars on Long Street.

Room Tip: Ask for the superior room. Larger and with a terrace and a bath

Stayed here for 3 nights in 2nd floor junior suite.Whilst it was spacious it had a bath in the room and the space would have been better used as a sitting area.Apart from that the hotel was overall very good with helpful staff particularly at reception for trips, taxis etc.You can walk around the City Centre to museums, sights etc but only during the day.The hotel were explicit to us not to walk after 8pm which meant getting a taxi back from restaurants a few blocks away.Hotel has car parking in a multi storey park next door with direct access to the hotel. There is a modest charge for this.Overall good hotel with the big advantage of not being part of a bland international chain and therefore has it's own African character. The hotel also supports local causes such as a school.

The hotel's in a safe part of town, central to all the tourist spots.we stayed in a family room which was more than adequate for my husband,2 year old daughter and myself. Beds were very comfy and the room was cleaned well daily.Breakfast was good with friendly staff and yummy cooked meals. There's a fee of R45-00 for parking daily which gets added to your bill when checking out.

We would stay again.

Room Tip: Any floor besides the 7th as it leads to the car park and can get a bit noisy.
