From the views to the room, the nespresso machine and the very friendly faces, this hotel is simply amazing.

It is rare that you find a hotel where the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is amazing, the room has views to kill and the general all round experience is simply wonderful.

I'd definitely go back again when on business next again.

Room Tip: Ask for a Corner room with a sea view.

Really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is in a fantastic position close by the Waterfront, with views over the sea. Easy access to the majority of Cape Town's tourist sites via car, with the opportunity to drive down the Atlantic seaboard right from the hotel entrance. Staff were helpful and room was adequate. Wouldn't want to walk anywhere at night, even if it would only be 5 mins to the Waterfront, but that is the same for the majority of hotels in South Africa unfortunately.

Beautiful place to have drinks. However, service is VERY slow and our waitress was not very friendly. The drinks are also quite expensive.

I would still recommend it as the setting is just exquisite. We were just rushing off to dinner and did not have the luxury of time!

This hotel is beautiful and clean and is in the perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the waterfront. You can walk to the fun Waterfront area of the city or they have an hourly shuttle that takes you there in minutes. The staff is super friendly and the food at the restaurant is fantastic. We booked the family suite and it was like having our own apartment with coffee maker and hot chocolate for the kids with loads of room to spread out. A definite must for a great ocean view!

When you become a loyal guest at a hotel you learn a few things about yourself. For me it was that I travel too much and that I happen to think this is one of the finest hotel properties I've ever visited.

Staff:

Friendly and efficient. Never ever fail to say good morning or offer you a smile and also really go the extra mile to get your stay to be just like you want it.

Location:

The waterfront in Cape Town is very touristy but surprisingly the hotel is often frequented by locals in the evening coming for their customary sundowners.

There's a complimentary shuttle bus going to the V&A waterfront but during the day it's a beautiful walk.

Rooms:

This is a unique point for this hotel: humongous. Business Class is great you get a sea-facing room with a balcony that's around 60-75 meters (best guess). Normal rooms have recently been refurbished and are some of the nicest non-premium rooms I've come across. If you've got a family then the family rooms offer more space than a small European apartment.

There's on site parking and the restaurant / bar is good (but remember to take warm clothing if its winter). Free wifi is great but leads onto the hotels downsides.

Some of the downsides is that the wifi is slow, seems to be a generic Cape Town thing but it can be painful if you wanna Skype / FaceTime back to home. Another one is that I can't figure out if this is a business hotel or a vacation hotel but both can be accommodated nicely.

This is a very special place and like all hotels it's the people that make the place work. I can say that over the years of patronage The Radisson Blu waterfront has never failed to deliver.

Perfect place to watch sailing ships pass by with a glass of cold Savignon Blanc, uninterrupted view of Robin Island, nice live music and good company! We love the venue and will return for their Sunday lunch buffet!
