my stay at the hotel was great, food was ok, but i did not get adequate supply of hot water in the bathroom during my stay. the staffs were great and accommodating
But i had issues with my reservations because on your website or rather mail sent to me your terms and conditions were not fully stated, therefore i had issues gaining access to my room due to the fact that the credit card i used needed authorisation from the owner before your hotel could grant me access BUT the hotel had confirmed my bookings. what if i could not get across to the owner of the credit card at that point? what would have happened to me/ would i sleep on the streets? so i recommend that your terms and conditions be well explained to your esteems customers both new and old about any new developments with your hotel policy..... in all i did enjoy my stay actually, would love to come back some other time.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff is professional and friendly and assisted us in every way, the breakfast and Italian restaurant was fabulous - will definitely go back for another stay!

We enjoyed our 3-night stay at the Parliament Hotel, and thought it was definitely a good value.

Pros

Very helpful and friendly staff (at reception & in breakfast area)

Clean and comfortable, fairly quiet room w/ king bed

Good array of breakfast choices: fruit, yogurt, cereal, eggs, & biscuits (cookies)

Cons

We had a rental car, and it was quite challenging to find the car park in the maze of downtown streets, some one-ways, some not.

Not sure how comfortable travelers would feel walking to and from the hotel after business hours (as we did to go to a restaurant) when there isn't much foot traffic in the immediate area.

Room Tip: An upper floor for more quiet

We had selected this place for a stay in 2013 and were so impressed that we took another couple with us in 2014. Centrally located, with friendly and caring staff - always with a smile, and good rooms with adequate facilities (including WiFi). Breakfast is excellent. The co-located but independent Italian restaurant is a treat and a hoot! We were so impressed on our first visit that we were keen to try it again. We ate there on each of 3 nights due to the quality of the food and the personalities of the owners and other staff - do not miss it. Transfer service to the airport was punctual, friendly and efficient. Thank you to the team for a great stay.

Room Tip: Try third floor.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February. I highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and comfortable, breakfast is delicious, you can't beat the price, and the staff is really friendly and helpful, from helping book cable way tickets to Table Mountain to finding tickets to Robbin Island to general advice on the area (like the jump on jump off bus, never done one before and it was great). We always felt safe in the area, but while central it is more of a business area so it gets quiet at night.

The property is old, the wind is blowing through windows on high floors. Breakfast selection is also average. The only thing one might like is it's central location if you have a buiness in CT downtown.
