Comfortable stay, Mini bar stocked very well! and very tempting!

Staff could greet more when you walk past or stand by the lifts with them.

Thanks Cindi (GM) she upgraded us due to problems in the room.

Room Tip: Thank a loft unit!

We booked a standard double here via Booking.com and got a very good deal.
In Cape Town, this was excellent value for money, if you are not looking for exceptional quality nor anything with personality.

The room was big, everything in good condition and well taken care of. The location is handy for walking in the city centre and for driving to sights further away.

We did not take their breakfast (it seems pricey), and the wifi does cost extra. We used their chauffeur service once in the city, when the guy at the front desk agreed to take the price down to 50 rands (they first asked 80).

Bought a last minute room. Ending up facing a courtyard with windows that where shut so they could not be opened. Big room, clean. Expensive mini bar and a TV which had only a few channels available. Wanted to watch the world cup football for a bit, but the channel got changed when rugby (practice game) started. Very annoying. Central location, but their taxi service was a rip off. We didn't want to drive to a friends party so took a taxi there. R80. On way back, same fare, different company was R40. Their breakfast is R120 so eat somewhere else.

Good safe parking, no free wifi, bathroom ok. Very nice bed.

We booked this hotel through an internet search and were very pleasantly surprised. It is central, within easy walking distance of the convention centre and a longer walk to the waterfront.
The room was large and clean. We are hikers and enjoyed its proximity to Table Mountain, Lions Head and Signal Hill. From the hotel to top of Table Mountain, it took us 2.5 hours; most of the literature would have you taking shuttle or taxi then hiking 2.5 hours up Platteklip Gorge trail. There is city bus that runs right along Buitengragt to the top of the road hill toward Table Mountain if you wish. The hotel had a great buffet breakfast for ZAR120/person; the offerings included eggs, hot and cold meats, a wide variety of fruit, cereal, yogurt, breads, pastries etc.

Internet service was good; you buy a card for ZAR35 for 100 mb. I had to do some business that required printing a page, signing it and then scanning it. They did it at the checkin desk in a few minutes. There was also a room with computers if you don't have your own.

Nice and central, I stayed recently with relations, and had a room to myself. I had to pay for
Wifi access, which I'm told in common in SA. but apart from the surprise of that, it was very reasonable cost. The breakfast bar was magnificent, and if you can tolerate the cocktail bar piano playing while you eat breakfast, all the better. Rooms excellent, hotel staff very polite and nice décor.

The hotel is centrally located and is less than 5 mins walk to the Hop On Hop off bus and the My Citi bus stop. It is also walking distance to Bo-Kaap and Long Street.

We had a great view of table mountain from our room on the 6th floor and the room was spotless and everything we needed was provided for.

Try the restaurant downstairs as we had the best steak ever from there!

For the price we paid (about $45 a night), it was a very good hotel. It's clean, has good amenities and is in an excellent location just a few blocks from long street. If I was paying a lot more than that, I would be annoyed by some of the things. The elevator got stuck one of the nights we were there with people in it for a long time (they had to call someone to get them out). We were woken up at 6:50am when apparently the min-bar person came into our room (and didn't leave right away which led to some confusion as to who just entered our room). The front desk staff also is not extremely knowledgeable about the area (they told us there is no bus when there is indeed a good, clean bus option in the city), but were helpful with stuff we needed in the hotel.
