We were originally supposed to get a standard hotel suite, but were immediately upgraded to a huge 2 bedroom suite with jacuzzi tub and wrap around balcony. We didn't even have to ask for the upgrade. The staff was fantastic and we used the shuttle service as often as possible, but you had to book it in advance. Cab rides were inexpensive to the downtown area and other points of interest. The breakfast at the hotel was not the greatest, but we went shopping at the Super Spar around the corner and made our own breakfast in our own kitchen. Sunset on the balcony is breathtaking and we enjoyed it most evenings except for the few we spent watching the sun set at Camps Bay nearby. Overall we had an amazing time and I can't wait to come back to Cape Town sometime again in the future!

This hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. Nice, big room with a kitchenette. Delicious breakfast was included and fantastic. The staff really made our stay. They went out of our way to make everything perfect. The free shuttle was helpful getting around to places close to the hotel. Would have liked to closer to the down town area but this was across the street from the beach (although you couldn't swim there, the swimming beach was a short shuttle drive away).

Originally did an exchange into the Peninsula via RCI Timeshare but unfortunately had to cancel and decided to book direct with the resort for a later date.Quite pricey but had a beautiful 4 bedroom suite with spa bath ect for the first 4 nights then headed off to winelands and returned for a further two nights in the penthouse. Wow the view of the sea and Capetown was fantastic and well worth every penny. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Resturant not badly priced and drinks ok. We ate in the local resturants in Seapoint and they were very good and very well priced. Three very good supermarkets close to the hotel if you want to do a little cooking. We found it quite safe to walk around and had no problems at all. Parking is R3.00 per night and very secure. Free shuttle bus is excellant and very reliable. The Peninsula is a super hotel and well worth a visit.

The reception and restaurant areas of this hotel well well maintained and decorated. the restaurant served very nice and good value breakfasts. There was an excellent daily maid service and the rooms were clean and well maintained. We had a broken lounger on our balcony and this was replaced quickly when reported. We had no bother with the louvre windows opening on to the hall - except for the day we didn't realise that the maid had openend them!
I found the pool very disapointing as it was narrow and wedged between a road and the restaurant, you would have been like a goldfish using it. However, the other reviews say that there was 2 pools - was there another that I didn't know about?
We very much appreciated the free shuttle bus service which was reliable and efficient.
The beds were unfortunately hard and uncomfortable, my husband and I moved into the twin beds which were marginally better.
Great uninterrupted views from the balcony, and the staff were very polite and helpful.

I stayed at this hotel two years ago and it was wonderful to return. The hotel manage to retain many of the same staff and not only were we recognised but our names were remembered. This is a time share resort but is run like a hotel with reception, bar and restaurant very efficiently indeed. An example being on our first night we were at a restaurant at the V and A when the whole of the area fell victim to the power cuts and all restaurants had to close. We returned to the Peninsula which offered a choice of two meals and had candles everywhere. Being very peckish, this was fab and did the trick! After dinner, we, along with other guests were escorted by torch to our rooms and offered candles for the night. Before this trip I decided I would return to SA every two or three years. Not now, if possible I will return to this friendly hotel again and again. Where else could you wake up literally looking over the Ocean!

My family stayed here for a couple of days, arriving after an overnight flight from London; having spoken a couple of times to the reservations, we arrived at 9am and got a 2-bed penthouse suite available to move straight into. It is really a timeshare place, but nothing wrong about that. There is good service, a nice restaurant for breakfast (included) and dinner, plus a modest gym and 2 swimming pools ( one heated). It is right on the beach road overlooking a small beach; but it is easy to take the shuttle (free) to Camps bay or into Cape Town.

My wife and I have stayed here regularly since 1998 and we have always been very pleased with the experience. The service is good the staff always friendly and helpful, it is generally well maintained and the General Manager Chris Godenir is excellent.
We like the position of the hotel; Seapoint is a definite community with useful shops yet access to the centre of Cape Town is quick and easy. The Peninsula is as close to the sea as you can get without actually being on the beach, nearly all the rooms have stunning seaviews and the sound of the sea will lull you to sleep.
