It was my first time in SA. Convenient location. Very courtesous staff ready to go extra mile for you. Delicious food. Wonderful view from the pool.
The only minus was a piece of plastic in my dessert! Nearly pierced my palate with it! But hey, food was amazing, didn't make a fuss about it.

Apart from being in the business district obviously and not in the beautiful parts of stunning capetown , there is nothing to complaint. Helpful shuttle to the waterfront . Wish there was a view of the table mountain. But for that , u just have to stay elsewhere . Consistent Westin standards . Good hotel to stay in with friendly efficient service

I found this hotel to be modern and well maintained. We liked the location and found that the amenities in the room were also good. They provided us with a good coffee machine, biscuits, dryer, slippers, free wifi, etc...The hotel's breakfast buffet was also good. The only hiccup that happened was when we first checked in, our friends were given hotel keys to rooms that had occupants in them already but this was quickly sorted out by the hotel staff.

Clean, modern, nice rooms - loved the tile warmer!
GREAT breakfast spread on the 19th floor
useful shuttle to waterfront
clean
great location

Had some customer service issues, thus only 4 stars:

- check in agent (Lisa) tried to put us in a bottom of the barrel smoking room, even though we are platinum members and never requested a smoking room

- concierge told us the stores at the nearby waterfront mall closed at 10pm, we got there at 9:20pm, only to find near everything shut down, wasted trip

- issue with incorrect room rate was escalated by platinum help desk to director of business travel sales Renee Cloete, who half heartedly addressed the situation, seemed liked she just wanted it over with, didn't listen to 1/2 the things I said, finally agreed with our position only to call us back and change course 10 minutes later. Finally met her in the lobby resolved the issue.

- missing vouchers from make a green choice promo

Check in was a breeze, especially after flying for 17 hours. We had a drink in the bar, Louie B's. What a neat place. Bedtime soon followed on the Westin Heavenly bed, which has a gr8 reputation. I should have asked for a foam pillow (my mistake). We had a fantastic buffet breakfast, unmatched to any I have had in recent years - really and truly, something for every nationality and taste. Before long we were in the exercise room working out on the machines. The room was spotless and the cleaning woman was there polishing everything. Kudos to Westin. We looked at the infinity pool with its super-duper view, but didn't take the time to use it. We cleaned up, checked out and were taken to our next destination. Service with a mile all the way. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: 1227 had a great view

We had a blast. Everyone was really friendly and made us feel very much welcome. We had access to the executive lounge on the 19th floor and the view is just amazing. Breakfast is just awesome. The staff would cater to your every need and made sure that everyone was taken care of. We also had dinner in the executive club but that wasn't the greatest experience. Being a chef myself I do admit to being a little spoiled when it comes to food, but this wasn't a great experience at all. No need to get into details but it's a shame that they aren't making more use of the possibilities this spot has. Breakfast is great and makes you wonder what dinner is gonna be like, but then you have dinner and it kinda sorta sucks. Overall The Westin is a great hotel. Maybe not the cheapest, but if you're looking to get pampered and have a couple of posh night, this hotel will definitely do!
