I travel frequently to cape town, and this hotel is great. Its spotlessly clean. check in staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and the duplex apartments are spacious and great. Location is brilliant for the city, the motorway as well as the Seapoint area. Prices are reasonable for what you get and for a night in Cape Town on Business, i really like this property.

Room Tip: The higher the better. There is some noise off the main road, or ask for a room that faces away from the main road.

A modern twist to the accustomed hotel. Love the loft room in this hotel. Location perfect and the staff were amazing. We had the most beautiful views of the entire Cape.

It's certainly a worthwhile address in Cape Town and definite value for money.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The Hotel hotel is located in a quite side street. Waterfront is about 15 minutes walking distance away.
The Rooms are very clean, service of the staff is very good, friendly and helpful. Wireless internet is avialable free of charge and secure parking is available for a minimal fee.
Very good value for what you pay.

Just returned from two nights at this Protea property. Breakfast was outstanding and the rooms were a bit small, but well appointed. Not a huge fan of the shower/bathroom setup, but the bed was amazing and overall vibe of the hotel was excellent. Staff was 1st class as well and location was perfect as its just a 15 minute walk to the V&A waterfront.

Room Tip: 5th floor rooms have a loft style setup...pretty cool

The hotel was fine - service was good, but its position means that rooms on the front of the hotel are noisy as stated by other reviewers. We had asked for an early check in and told that would be fine, but it was well after 13.00 by the time we got a room, which when you've arrived on an overnight flight is frustrating. The hotel is not within walking distance of the waterfront in my view, so you are driving or taxiing everywhere, if the hotel bus isn't running. It also has no outside seating area, which was disappointing. Service was friendly and with a smile as always in South Africa.

Room Tip: Ask a room at the back of the hotel

Dear PlummyDorking,
Thank you for taking the time to comment on your most recent stay at the Protea Hotel Victoria Junction Waterfront.
The inconvenience which you experienced throughout your stay is most definitely not the standard we strive to achieve. Please be assured that your comments with regard to the early check-in that was promised and not received due to a miscommunication between the relevant departments has been addressed in detail with the relevant management and STAFF.

We hope that you will be staying with us again soon. We should welcome another opportunity to show you Protea Hotel Victoria Junction Waterfront hospitality at its best, and we look forward to hearing from you again.

Yours sincerely,
