“Fantastic”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2012

The hotel is beautifully located in front of the ocean. You cross the street and can go for a walk or a morning jog along the coast. The area is very safe. The hotel is a bit dated but the rooms are spacey, beds comfy, there is a tea/coffee set which is nice to have but no fridge. Bathrooms are a bit small and the door will not close completely. There is a 2cm space between them so its a bit uncomfortable. We had a ocean view room and the view was amazing. We could hear the waves. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Everybody seems so happy there. The guests were mostly mid-aged English tourists in couples which was fine as they are quiet people usually. Breakfasts are generous. You get a buffet with hot platters (British things like sausages, beans etc), cold food like cheese, hams, croissants and there is a cook that cooks eggs your way. There is also a choice of cornflakes, milk and jams.
We tried sandwiches for lunch and they are excellent for a good price (cheaper than downtown) and we also had room service diner which took a long time, about 1.30h. But the food was great. The restaurant is very good and good value for money. The only disappointment was the swimming pool. It was small, dirty, in a dark corner, no sun and surrounded with a few plastic beds without pillows or towels.

I would stay again when in Cape Town.

Room Tip: Take an ocean view room

The location is incredible, 10-15 min away from many of the sites, Waterfront, Camps Bay, Clifton and across the street from a beach if you don't want to take a taxi.

Rooms: The room I stayed in was a large with a king size bed and a jacuzzi size tub (note, not a jacuzzi, just a large tub). The view every morning was of Lion's Head Mountain and Table Mountain. Some of the rooms have a living room and kitchenette, this is great but food is pretty inexpensive so not necessary. The smaller rooms are..SMALL. Good for one person, tight for two unless you're a couple. Unless I was in a suite or in one of the rooms with a living room, or by myself I'd stay elsewhere.

Food: The breakfast is excellent, everything from cheese plates with jams and fresh croissants to an omelet station and fresh fruit. I am very picky about coffee and always bring my own but I didn't use it once, the coffee is very good. If you are there for a conference, the lunch and dinner are great and the desserts (best creme brulee I've ever had and toffee sticky pudding) are amazing!

Service: The service is great (thanks Rahzeem for being so attentive and Denzel for being the nicest driver ever).

Pool: Warning: If you require a pool, this is not the place for you. The pool is basically the size of a jacuzzy in the back with four beach chairs around it and there isn't alot of sun because it is blocked by a tall building.

Extra:There IS a great second floor balcony with an amazing view. I had dinner at La Perla which is in walking distance and the food is incredible! They have a nougat dessert that is AMAZING.

I will defenitely stay at Premier if I visit Cape Town again.

We were booked in another hotel and as they were over booked, they put us up at this hotel. Tell you what, thank God! It was a small but great hotel, with superb rooms and an amazing breakfast. Tracy at the reception was very helpful. Great location, 2 minute walk to the seafront and only a 8 minute walk to the hop on and off bus. They had a nice resting lounge area and internet access. Great area to rest after you check out before your. This hotel really made our stay special at Cape Town.

Room Tip: All rooms were the same, excellent!

The Cape Manor hotel was excellent. Yes the rooms were smaller than elsewhere on our Saga tour, but they are clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate. The staff are very friendly and efficient, and were very helpful with my wife’s gluten-free diet, including supplying GF bread.

Some of the rooms have a sea view, and the V & A Waterfront is easily accessed from a bus stop nearby.

I Have Stayed In Many High Class Hotels But this is one of the most lovely places to stay it is in a great location rooms are not huge but there is plenty of room house keeping keep it very tidy and i would go back in a heart beat the V&A Waterfront is a little walk along from it but it is a plesant walk and you have bars and restaurants just up the street from the hotel the pool is small and not heated but what does it matter when your in the pool your all good.

A Big Thanks Have To Go To All The Staff There They Made All 26 of Us Feel Welcome!!!!

The location is fantastic, and if you get the right view you have a beautiful view of the ocean no more than 100m away. The hotel itself is a little dated, but more importantly for a hotel which focuses on the business customer, the facilities are awful. No irons or ironing boards in rooms (you have to go to an ironing room), no power ports by the desk, no alarm clock of way to tell the time, no fridge, no ice - you get the picture.

Limited al la carte menu (average food), as most meals are buffet service. Service is awful. Getting a cup of coffee or toast at breakfast is an order when you be very straightforward. Staff are friendly, but just seem to struggle with the service element.

Room Tip: Ask for ocean front (suth east corner) and higher floors if available for best views
