Beautiful hotel ideally located at the V&A Waterfront. Highly recommend their breakfasts too!! We received an upgraded room overlooking the ocean. The service is friendly who makes one feel like royalty whilst staying there.
From the waterfront hop on and off buses can be taken for tours in and around Cape Town.

Excellent experience....we were treated like royalty! Very romantic ;) It is connected to a mall with plenty of shopping. Easy access to the shops and restaurant along the water. There is a huge variety of things to do within walking distance, and many excursions are offered straight from or near the hotel. Breakfast and lunch buffets had plenty to choose from and was wonderful. We loved it and would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water, higher than the 2nd floor. The view is breath taking.

For a world class place to stay, with exceptionally tight security, you couldn't do better than Table Bay Hotel. While not entirely immune from African "features" (like finding someone else's suitcase delivered to my room, or leaving an envelope with the concierge for someone to come pick up, which was then delivered to my room) but the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The location (on V & A Waterfront) is premier. The views are outstanding (although that's true nearly everywhere in Cape Town.). I can recommend Table Bay.

Its so ordinary as its like any other big hotel. Yes the rooms are big but few of them look to the sea. If you examine many of the photos before the long range view of the sea you effectively looking over a car park. They doing major renovations so I'd stay clear until they are done. I asked for a view of something other than the car park after seeing my room you would have thought I asked for a free night in the presidential suit. Others may like the sumptuous type of vibe but it's like every other hotel with low level front of house staff . I was so sorry I had to leave the mount nelson to come here.

The Table Bay Hotel , right on the best water front location in Cape Town, is the perfect Hotel , location wise, service and breakfast wise. Try to request for the odd room numbers to view the Table Bay Mountain scenery early mornings. We spent a total of 5 nights in this hotel and we would be lying if we had to say there was anything negative about it. It is the perfect holiday hotel stay we ever had and we would definetly recommend it to everyone .

Room Tip: Go for the higher floors odd room number request . You wouldn't be disappointed .

I spent 5 nights at the Table Bay hotel and was impressed from the moment I arrived. The hotel has a grand feel to it, very impressive lobby. My room on level 6 had great views of the Atlantic and I loved that I could open the windows and get fresh air. The bed was incredibly comfortable and bathroom has a fabulous tub for soaking. The Molton Brown toiletries were so good that I'll be buying them. Breakfast buffet was amazingly good and I recommend the omelette with chilli. Other meals were average. The day spa offers a full range of services and I had a fabulous massage and facial.
Would definitely return!

My friends and I indulged in a very grand afternoon tea at this hotel. You can even have champagne with your afternoon tea, for a higher price (which is good value considering all there is to eat!). Choose to sit inside on the comfortable chairs, sofas or outside to enjoy the great view of Table Mountain and the waterfront. They are a little more expensive than Cape Grace Hotel afternoon tea but it's worth it. The pots and the tea cups and saucers leave you feeling like royalty, not to mention the étagère (sort of tier-cake stands). They also have live music like classical piano. Very lovely and very English. They do not have clotted cream (the real kind) but then nowhere in Cape Town have I experienced real clotted cream like I had in England and Dubai.
