we were 3 couples staying here before heading up to Sabi Sabi for a Safari. All of us were delighted in the beauty of the facility, the very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet looked like something that a is reserved for Sunday morning brunch in the states.

Sadly the weather did not cooperate starting on our first full day there so we couldn't enjoy the area's attractions.

My husband and I recently returned from a trip to South Africa and our first hotel was the Table Bay Hotel. This hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views of the bay and Table Mountain. We took a trip to Robbin Island and the departure point was a few minutes walk away. Breakfast was amazing! So much variety including typical buffet choices as well as international options, waffle bar (so good) and huge selection of breads (* toast is ordered, no self toasting option). An escalator ride takes you to a huge shopping centre, Victoria Wharf. There are hundreds of shops, similar to Westfield. There is a Pick n Pay grocery store, designer stores and every day shopping. Also many dining options around the wharf. Also worth a visit is the GOLD restaurant. Amazing experience, excellent South African food and close by. Anything you need you will find in the shopping centre though, as well as McDonalds. I would definately stay at The Table Bay again if in South Africa. It's just a great hotel in a great location.

Room Tip: I can't imagine there being a "bad" room.

We stayed three nights and the location cannot be beaten as it is in the heart of the V&A area. Hotel is more traditional in decor and style but the room was fine and the staff exceptionally helpful. With some many eating places around we did not dine at the hotel but it looked of the best quality. This hotel would be my first choice when I return to Cape Town.

This hotel is amazing. Awesome staff, service and attention to detail. Rooms are clean and dining is superb and reasonable. I was here on business for 4 nights and can not say enough good things. Location is excellent, attached to the V&A Waterfront with plenty of shopping and dining options inside and outside. Outstanding views of the water and Table Mountain.

If you have never experienced "High Tea" you MUST do it here. Absolutely unbelievable!! The food and tea are all out of this world!!

I have traveled the globe and this place is excellent. The gym is the only disappointment, as it is quite small in comparison. I still give the hotel 5 stars b/c most people come here to see the city and sights and the gym usually is not high priority in that case.

On a too brief trip for business last year I was booked here for three nights. Everything was top notch. Nice harbor location. On the trip from the airport to the hotel one can see in the distance the grinding poverty of the shantytowns. Staying at this hotel, one cannot but be reminded of the contrast between privilege and poverty that is still so much of SA today. As one tours the area, one sees physical beauty, the charms of a bygone era, the hope for a better life for more than a few but the creeping decay that suggests that only pessimism is warranted.

I spent eight nights in this glorious hotel right on the Harbor in Cape Town. It is luxury at its best. The rooms are well appointed, the bar is friendly and very accomodating and waking up every morning to a view of Table Mountain was breathtaking. This rates as my number one hotel that I have stayed in EVER; and Cape Town is one of my top two destinations in the world. I can't wait to get back and enjoy a little more Cape hospitality.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the Bay and Table Mountain are the most scenic.

We recently stayed here for 4 nights to end our safari experience in Zambia. We flew down to visit Cape Town to do a little wine tasting and sightseeing. The hotel was very nice and everyone very hospitable. Our room looked out on Table Mountain and the water which was beautiful. Breakfast has everything you could want plus. Check in was quick and easy with bags arriving in room quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
