Cape Grace Hotel, many thanks to your staff for their care and attention during my medical emergency. A truly wonderful hotel and highly recommended in all respects.

We have been visiting the hotel for many years and they have never failed to reach the highest standards. Angela Ducret

We stepped into this lovely hotel were greeted, welcomed and unsold. They took us up to a penthouse, said they’d make us a great deal to upgrade. They says the room was ready for us. It was going to cost $600 more per night. That was $2400 total more. No thanks, we’ll keep our already paid for room. “Your room will be ready in an hour and a half”. Wait. What? The upgrade is ready and our room isn’t? We booked with a travel agent. She asked fir early check in. We’d been traveling for 36 hours. Sad. We got into our room not one second before checkin. It’s lovely but I hear drilling...yep...you guessed it, construction going on in room next door. I called down, they said it’d be happening during our stay daily until 4pm. Sad. After we returned from our activities the next day, they offered to move us. Wait. Are you thinking right then?!?!? NOPE. The offer was to move us the next night. I declined as we were settled and returning from a full tour day to repack and get cleaned up for our 8pm dinner was not appealing. The next day were given $50 at a restaurant nearby for the trouble. It covered half the lunch and we don’t drink and we didn’t get dessert. Weak!!! We know this is a nice hotel. We felt like we were being punked!!! We couldn’t believe how poorly our situation was managed. I’m being generous with my rating because breakfast and front door staff as well as the driver we used one night were all lovely. I just wish we hadn’t been messed with. Sad.

We had a wonderful stay at Cape Grace. After spending a week on safari, we very much enjoyed relaxing at this luxurious hotel. The accomidations were beautiful. We were extremely happy with the size of our room and bathroom and the overall decorating of the hotel. We were pleased with the included breakfast, with a decadent buffet and hot meals to order. The service was excellent, with the staff going above and beyond. They coordinated rides for us to other neighborhoods and wrapped all of my souvenirs for safe transport home. The location next to the beautiful waterfront made the evenings simple, strolling over to the many restaurants for dinner and shops. Only a short car ride away to District 6, Green Market and Bo-Kaap. We were very pleased with the experience, and very much enjoyed lounging pool side our last afternoon in Cape Town.

This place is just awesome. It’s a beautiful hotel. The location is excellent, right next to the waterfront. They have first class drivers in first class cars that will take you anywhere you want to go.k. The drivers are very informative and are gentlemen to the highest extent. Everybody that works at the hotel is just wonderful. They are very helpful always have and smile on their face and there’s no question they probably have way more staff than they really need to get the job done but that’s what makes it so special as no one is stressed and they are there for you whatever your needs may be. They have a nice gym that overlooks the waterway. The spa is very nice with a rocking steamroom and sauna (which I love!). They also have an awesome breakfast , great library, and nice bar. The whiskey bar was under renovation so unfortunately we didn’t get to see that but they do have complimentary wine tastings every night. I would definitely stay here again. Our main concierge I think his name was (Eschelon?) He was excellent and just so helpful. When we got there my wife had a problem with an infection from a previous wisdom teeth surgery and within minutes they had a set up with an awesome dentist, drove us there and everything was taken care of and it was on a Sunday evening short notice! . I just can’t say enough about the Cape Grace hotel! 10 stars!

We stayed here for four nights in August and loved our visit. We have stayed at other high end properties in Cape Town on prior visits and this is without a doubt our favorite.

The location is perfect on the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The staff and facilities are excellent. We had a view on the marina and Table Mountain which was a great way to awaken each morning.

The staff make an extra effort to know all the guests and are very welcoming each time you return to the hotel. We were celebrating a special occassion and had tried for months to get a reservation at the Test Kitchen and the concierge was able to score this special restaurant for this special occasion.

We will definitely stay at Cape Grace during our next visit to Cape Town.
