Expensive, but well worth it. The concierge service was over the top. They were so helpful and really delivered on what we asked for. The limo service was a real benefit, just make sure you book as soon as you know the times that you need the drivers. All staff, without exception, were very helpful and incredibly pleasant.

We stayed at the Cape Grace for three nights. Certainly a luxurious hotel, with helpful staff, awesome views of Table Mountain and close to a wide selection of restaurants on the Waterfront. Our room was spacious, with a very nice bathroom. The chauffeur car service really helped us get around town, and we didn't have too much trouble booking in advance to go where we wanted, when we wanted. I felt that the hotel suffered somewhat in the value-for-money stakes, but overall we had a very enjoyable break here.

A fantastic few nights over Christmas at this gorgeous hotel. Not too large, so the service is intimate, right from the personal welcome at check in throughout the whole experience. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. Table Mountain view rooms are the best. The locations is perfect, very central but in a quiet enclave and the V&A waterfront is a short safe walk (even at night). The hotel offers a free limo service within about a ten mile radius which is brilliant, but best to book all the trips you want as soon as you get there because its very popular. The restaurant is good, but there are probably better choices in the many local city centre restaurants. The Bascule Bar downstairs is very good.

Room Tip: Table Mountain view rooms best (but I think there is a premium)

Hello,
I visted the Cape Grace Hotel, what an excellent situated hotel with breath taking view of the waterfront and table mountain.
The staff and the ambiance of the hotel and location is outstanding, the acess to get around from the hotel and around the waterfront is on your door step.

I recommend this hotel to the world top class hotel 10/10 for the Cape Grace Hotel.

regards

my family and i had interleading/connecting rooms at this first class hotel and could not fault anything. From the time that we dropped our bags off because we were early to the time the bellboy helped with our luggage on departure we found all staff and facilities to be superb. Unlike large over the top 5 star hotels the Cape Grace has a very personal feel to it. Our children were delighted with their room and receiving personalised letters and presents as we were with the bottle of chilled sparkling wine and fresh fruit. The rooms were well equipped and spacious enough with a connecting private corridor for storage and to double as a dressing room. The breakfast was very well presented without being too extensive. the dinner was reasonably priced with a good wine menu. I did not partake in their exclusive whisky bar list but I am told it is the most extensive around. All in all it was a First Class in a most convenient part of Cape Town.

Room Tip: Interconnecting rooms are excellent for travelling families.

Fantastic traditional hotel with quite a character.
Location is superb for the city & the waterfront. Staff were excellent in all departments (but one). The reception & welcome was efficient & warm. The room was lovely with plenty of space, a huge bed & good bathroom. Loved the decor & the use of South African utensils, tools, vintage & traditional furniture.
Breakfast was superb with friendly service & excellent choice & quality.
Loved the Whisky Bar on the first night as it was busy & full of atmosphere; on the second night we made a point to go back to the hotel for a nightcap after dining out & waited for a quarter of an hour to be served before giving up. This was at 10.30, having been acknowledged four times and with no one else being served in the meantime. Very annoying. Shame as that department let the hotel down.

My husband treated me to 2 nights at this hotel as a Birthday present in early January. I can honestly say this was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in.My Birthday was acknowledged by every staff member that I encountered on the day, and it made my day feel very special. We had breakfast overlooking stunning views over the harbour and both being animal lovers, were delighted to encounter seals frolicking in the sea water outside our bedroom window. The hotel is in an ideal location for sightseeing and I would thoroughly recommend the surrounding restaurants and other attractions such as the musical bands that play throughout the day and evening. Outstanding!
