Thanks to Richard Keet and his wonderful staff for making our Friday night and Saturday Conference great. Food was good, service, especially from Ruth was fantastic - they may not be 5* but they will break there backs to make you feel right @ home.

With the special on discovery miles, we were able to enjoy a fun filled weekend in Cape Town. The hotel was clean, the atmosphere was very welcoming, staff were very friendly and very helpful. However the only problem was the rattling of the bedroom window as there were strong gale force winds. Breakfast was included in the room rate however as vegetarians would welcome more variety perhaps a bit of soya products. Overall stay was pleasant and good value for money.

Room Tip: Choose one facing the mountain but not on the top floor.

Garden Court de Waal is a wonderful place to stay while in Capetown. Situated in the city it is an ideal location to stay since it is close to most of the museums, the malls and especially for the Indians some of the finest Indian restaurants, such as Vintage India is situated in the vicinity.
One has an excellent view of the city from the rooms. Capetown by night is exquisite and sitting in one's room you have a view of most part of the city. The rooms are large and spacious, the air conditioning was in perfect working condition
The best part of the hotel is the breakfast. You have a variety of cereals, with dried , stewed and fresh fruits to go with. The selection of breads were varied. For those who love a British breakfast there were kippers and haddock available. Tea and coffee , cocoa, together with fruit juices were also on hand. Indeed a wholesome breakfast that you keep you for the entire day out.
There is an excellent bar for a drink before dinner. There is only one restaurant serving mainly continental food. Since our's was an Indian group we would eat outside.
The staff at the hotel were a mixture of both whites and coloured, they were courteous and helpful. The rooms were large and airy, and kept clean by the housekeeping staff. One of the finest aspects of the hotel was that the staff were friendly and made us feel at home. The check in was fast and effecient, the rooms were alloted by the hotel staff so we did not have much say in choosing our rooms. We were also given a welcome drink orange juice on arrival. The facilities in the hotel are of the bare minimum, nevertheless considering it location it is an ideal place to stay in Capetown

OK, but getting dated now. Off Pitch in terms of location, made up for this with stunning views - watching the firework festival over the bay was great.

Good rooms but slightly away from the city centre. Breakfast not very elaborate but extremely good. there are quite a few restaurants in the neighbourhood offering a variety of cuisenes (chinese, thai, indian etc). Most of the rooms offer a great view of the table mountain and the furnicular.

We stayed at this hotel for three nigths. Although the rooms are small for four (two adults, two kids), the beds were comfy, towels fluffy, and we were lucky with the weather and could use the pool. The staff worked with us on food (I have food allergies), and were happy to serve off and prepare stuff not on the menu. All in all great value and service!
