“Comfort of a hotel, personality of a backpackers”

I stayed here for a month and loved every second, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Even after a month I have no complaints and if I find myself ever in Cape Town again theres nowhere else I would rather stay. As I was on my own for a month it was a great place to meet people from all over and have a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, we can't choose anything above excellent. The trip to cape town was fantastic, and a great part of the good time we had was thanks to the people in BIG. The hostel has a great localization, and a great structure. Great breakfast and a lot of side services that can really help anyone traveling. They also get many ideas and tours that would improve your stay in Cape Town. But the very best part was their staff: they were all very helpful and friendly, making us feel at home. The only problem is that they set the bar really high to other hostels now, and we'll keep saying for a while "This place is good, but is not BIG". Thank you guys for a wonderful stay!

The BIG was a great place to start my South African vacation. The ladies that run the BIG are super friendly and helpful (they helped locate my missing luggage by helping me call the airlines). The atmosphere is homey and they have a great location. They had plenty of suggestions for things to do and the place was clean and beautiful. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

B.I.G. was a good place to stay for a single traveller in trouble ;)
Good value for money, nice atmosphere.
I stayed in a dormitory sharing with other girls, housekeeping service was excellent.
Thank you B.I.G.

I stayed at The B.I.G in June for 8 days. The hostel was very clean and there was a homey atmosphere about the whole place. The staff was exceptionally friendly and very willing to help plan out our days in Cape Town. The hostel is located close to the Waterfront, so we walked there almost everyday (only a 10-15 minute walk). It was great that there was a breakfast included in the mornings and use of the kitchen/TV room at all times. I really enjoyed our stay there, and would definitely recommend it!

Had such an amazing week stay in the B.I.G. It's in an excellent location in Green point, near enough to be near all the fun and activities but also away from all the noise. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We were made to feel at home! The rooms are beautiful and the beds are so so comfy! The breakfast is perfect to get you going before a day of activities. We stayed in this hostel after two months of travelling round Africa and it was the best hostel we stayed in by a very long way! Brilliant! Couldn't recommend it more! Thanks so much!

i recently went to Cape Town and B.I.G. was recommend by another traveller ,and for good reason, i loved the place from the second i walked in,,friendly staff ,and very nice beds ,but the clincher was the great loft for watching movies and the night when we had wood fired pizza cooked in the oven by the pool ,they don't need me to say anything good ,but keep up the good work ,I would loved to stay longer, a place is not always defined by the facilities but by the people working and staying there, and this is true in both cases ++

Room Tip: any room is a good room there ,no big dorms ,great
