Owner description: Connect with nature and experience Cape Town from a different perspective by joining us for a leisurely, fun, scenic kayak in the heart of Sea Point, set against the spectacular backdrop of Table Mountain and the Stadium! All trips are guided, and we are conservative about the conditions we kayak in. The trips are gentle in pace and no previous kayaking experience is necessary. The focus is on fun, enjoying the serene setting, and hopefully, seeing some wildlife. We are often fortunate to see a variety of wildlife on our trips including seals, sun fish and even the occasional penguin! There is a chance of seeing dolphins, & we are also lucky to see both Southern Right and Humpback whales from time to time, as they migrate along our coastline. We do 3-4 trips trips throughout the day (depending on the season). Morning trips best for seeing wildlife, while our late afternoon trip offers the prospect of spectacular sunset views towards Clifton. Trips are approximately 2 hours long.

Cape Town boasts stunning vistas but view can match those from the sea. Thanks to Kaskazi, you can see the city in a way that is impossible from land. Nothing beats the magic of paddling in Table Bay with the backdrop of Table Mountain or paddling to Clifton and the Twelve Apostles loom around Bantry Bay. Nothing except the sound of dolphins breathing and jumping just metres away from your kayak.

Traci and Arthur will not run a trip unless conditions are very good so you are totally secure. They both inspire confidence and joy. I make an annual trip to Cape Town and if I don't get to kayak with Kaskazi, the trip always seems incomplete.

Bring sunglasses, head protection, sunscreen and water.

We have been on 4 Kaskazi kayak trips over the last 6 months and they rock every time. It is such a great way to see Cape Town and burn off breakfast.

Traci is an outstanding guide and they trip are well organized, the equipment top notch and the experience great every time.

Great way to see the best side of cape Town, from the Waterfront down to Camps Bay region. It was so good that my wife did it 3 times.

Tracy at the shop is a lovely and confident person and an excellant host for the trips....well worth a go even if you have not kayaked before, plus you can get to see dolphins, penguins, sun fish and whales.....

Shame I dont have time on this business trip to do it again!!! (August 2012)

What better way to see the Cape Town Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade, Camps Bay, Lion's Head and Table Mountain than from on the ocean in a kayak?
Done in the right weather conditions it is truly amazing - in our case, we witnessed an awe-inspiring sunset on a windless evening, had dolphins swim under and around our kayaks and had a whale surface within 10 meters of us. Our guides suggested that there was a good chance of seeing whales and they delivered! We paddled towards Camp's Bay just before sunset, before turning back and drinking in the beauty of the sun dipping below the horizon in a spectacle of red and deep blue. The buildings in the distant Blouwberg Strand looked as though they were on fire as the light reflected in the windows. Our 3 kayaks glided back towards the Mouille Point lighthouse with just a hint of swell giving us a helping hand.
What an experience.

It's a secret that right in the heart of the city there is such an abundance of wildlife and beautiful views that can only be seen by the ocean. Kaskazi has a variety of different types of kayaks and they offer a class so that anyone can take a paddle. I've taken my 75 year old mother out for a paddle with me.

I have seen pods of dolphin (so many you can't put your paddle in the water), seals, penguins, sun fish, birds, and southern right whales. Plus the scenery is stunning. This is a definite must do if you are visiting Cape Town.
