We had a very enjoyable and cosy stay here, just as nice as we hoped-for.
Very elegantly and poshly designed and furnished.View from the roof terrace was breathtaking, could have stayed there forever..
Our hosts organized us perfect one day tour, we experienced everything we wanted and much, much more (Cape of Good Hope, African penguins etc). Also our kids loved and would have stayed longer, unfortunately had a change to stay only 2 nights. Breakfast was worth taking.

Room Tip: Room 1st floor with own terrace was nice. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (15 and 9 yrs)

We stayed for the Cape Argus race - great guys who run this B&B. Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean, very accommodating when needed early breakfast and ideal location. Certainly recommended and I would also take my family back when go to Cape Town again.

We had a very pleasant stay and were immediately feeling home as we were welcomes by the hosts, Michael and Hans. Location in Oranjezicht is close to downtown Cape Town, and also it's quite convenient to go to Table Mountain. And most of all, it's a safe neighborhood and restaurants are in walking distance and you can actually walk to some nearby restaurants, not needing to worry about taxis, etc. The rooms are very new, you are welcomes with a bottle of wine. All guests sit together at the breakfast table and enjoy a good varitey of breakfast food. The roof top is accessible and spacious and great to realx, take some good pictures and just enjoy the beauty of Cape Town. And all this came with a very reasonable accommodation rate - so really good value for money. Clearly recommendable.

I've stayed here several times whilst in Cape Town on business. Great location - near the CBD, yet quiet. Beautiful views from breakfast room and rooftop over the City and the harbour.
Great hosts - with a personalised attention - good and solid German hospitality!!
The rooms are very beautifully designed - with exquisitely partioned bathroom-areas. Also - a great place to go for an early morning (or late afternoon) jog!!! All along the foot of Table Montain. Or - if you're up to it - right up to the cable-way-road!

very nice guest lodge with tastefully designed rooms, clean and quiet location in Oranjezicht below Table Mountain with very good views over Cape Town -especially relaxing from the top terrace after a wonderful sigtseeing day in and round Cape Town. Michael and Hans are nice and very friendly hosts providing lots of useful hints. Easy parking, fridge and kitschen for guests, very good breakfast...we enjoyed it a lot.

This place is gorgeous: the remarkably well renovated and stylish guest lodge is located just below Table Mountain in a safe and quiet mixed neighborhood of family homes, guesthouses and condos at about 20-30 min walking distance from the downtown city-districts. The rooms are individually furnished and extremely tidy with perfect room-service and daily towel changes including a welcome bottle of red wine on the table upon arrival. Breakfasts are great with daily baked fresh rolls, fresh fruit salad, and all kinds of individually prepared omlettes and gave us a great start in our days! The owners and hosts, Michael and Hans are running their guest house in a relaxed, but very attentive way with high claims in terms of hospitality, quality housing, room service, travel suggestions, and even offer personal tours adapted to the needs of their guests. The discreet pool in the front yard with deck chairs in the sun invites to relax and to take a sun-bath. The top deck on the roof gives you that famous panorama view that is special for Capetown. We'll be coming back soon.

Room Tip: rooms towards the neighbor-gardens are bigger and absolutely quiet and have private patios

We were booked her by our trip planner for a South African tour we took in December when the main hotel on our itinerary was overbooked and we had to change our plans. After one night at Southern Comfort I was disappointed to have to leave to join the rest of the group at the other hotel as planned.

The owners of this guest lodge were so kind and hospitable. I have a gluten intolerance and they spent extra time at the market trying to find me not only gluten free bread for toasting, but GOOD gluten free bread - they'd tried several brands before settling on one that was acceptable. Amazing!

The room was so nice, probably one of the nicest rooms we had on our tour. Plus they had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival, to drink on our private porch! It was spotlessly clean and obvious they took great care in the look and comfort of the rooms down to the smallest detail.

I can't say enough things about this place. I hope that someday I am able to spend more time in Cape Town and if I do, I know the Southern Comfort will be on the top of the list.
