Thank you for posting a review.
It is good to hear that you had so much fun on this tour and enjoyed the tour guide.
I am glad that the different sites along the way were exciting and refreshing and you loved the bike ride as well.
Enjoy your day.
Mikayla was a wonderful tour guide who made sure we saw all of many different sights in efficient time and also taught us a lot about the history and significance. Thank you for a relaxing but engaging tour.
The tour with Mike was just amazing. We had a really great day and Mike was a great tour guide. I really enjoyed it.
The Cape Peninsula day tour was a great day out. We got to see quite a bit of the peninsula (from the seals in Hout Bay over Chapman's Peak Drive and the Cape Nature Reserve to the penguins at Boulders Beach). We were a smallish group: 11 people, which is a nice size for a group tour, in my opinion. The tour was well-paced, and I never felt rushed (nor bored). At the same time our guide, Diane, managed to keep us on schedule so that we had enough time also at the later stops, and returned in time to Cape Town (with a few minutes delay due to traffic, but there is nothing to be done about that).
Our guide Diane was very knowledgeable, and gave us quite some insight into the Cape Peninsula (and also Cape Town). She really played a big role in making the trip so enjoyable with her relaxed, cheery attitude.
Our driver, Thabiso, ensured that we had a smooth ride all the way.
We did the Cape Peninsula Tour with BazBus.
Mike (guide) and Bobby (driver) picked us up at the pickup point near our hotel and took great care of us during the day.
We visited the seals at Hout Baai, penguins at Boulders Beach and did some cycling and walking in the Cape of Good Hope national park.
Beautiful area and Mike and Bobby were were friendly, informal guides who gaves us a lot of information about their beautiful city.
What a day, all the conditions gathered to make the 'Peninsula' discovery perfect.
Diane (the guide with purple hair) and Freddy (the driver) masterly managed the tour.
It was a five stars service, punctuality, knowledge of the area and history, explanations... I liked every thing :-)
Biking in the 'Cape Peninsula Nature Reserve' and hiking towards the 'Cape of good hope' made this day unforgettable.
This place is exceptional for me, thank you Diane for this experience
The Baz Bus full day tour was awesome .Had a really nice time with the sightseeing, bike tours and boat trip. Thanks again Diane and Thabiso for the great day
Was a great tour with bazbus, Mike the guide was telling us many things of history in each point that we saw

I am so happy to hear you had a great tour with Baz Bus and enjoyed the information provided by the guide about all the stops included.
Enjoy the rest of your time in Cape Town :)
The Baz bus team really looked after us all. Mike gave us very detailed knowledge about the areas we were in, including history lessons - which I particularly liked. Also the lunch provided was delicious and fresh. Such a great day out, thanks Mike at Baz Bus!!
Thank you for posting a review.
I am so happy to hear you had the best time on the tour and found the Baz Bus Team looked after the entire group throughout the day :)
Glad you enjoyed the delicious, fresh lunch and very detailed knowledge provided about the areas, by our guide.
If you want to enjoy Capetown-please book with Bazbus-the whole trip was well organized and exciting to my wife and I. Freddie-the driver was friendly and good to be with.
Diane was amicable too and called each of us by our names-very lovely through out the day.
The Baz Bus 1-day Cape Peninsula Tour is by far the best day trip tour I’ve ever booked (and that includes in both Europe and Asia). The guide Diane was really nice, informative, super mellow and laid-back, a real free spirit; she struck the perfect balance between being friendly and answering all sorts of questions to leaving you alone if you wanted that. Freddie the driver is the crazy but lovable uncle (singing along to the music on the ride back to Cape Town) that you know, and a great driver to boot! The day included lots of fun activities, starting with a boat ride to seal island at Hout Bay (additional charge of about R 90) and a stop along the cliffs of Chapman’s Peak for a photo opportunity over the stunning bay, clear blue waters, and far off mountain tops. Next up was a fun cycling session in Cape Point Nature Reserve; the desolate landscape seemed otherworldly! Diane very considerately shortened the bike route because it was so incredibly windy on the day I visited; even on the shortened route, most of us that opted to cycle were walking our bikes toward the end to meet the van! Lunch was a simple picnic/sandwich affair, but i quite enjoyed the traditional South African koeksister dessert and foccacia-like bread, which was explained is a typical part of a braai meal -- this is the kind of native experience and knowledge that you could never get from a restaurant. After lunch, we hiked up to the lighthouse in the Cape Point reserve, from where the sea and sky seemed to have no limit and stretched infinitely. We also had a stop at the actual Cape of Good Hope, where you can get a closeup view of the peak, the waves crashing on rocks, and another instagram opportunity with the famous signpost marking the most southwestern point in Africa. The day ended at Boulder Beach just outside of Simon’s Town, where it was really fun to watch the hundreds of African penguins waddle around, stand still, or even taking a dip in the sea. On the way back to Cape Town, Diane even made recommendations of restaurants and bars in the city that are worth checking out, which was helpful. Overall, the tour was well paced, with just enough time in all of the locations; it also included a range of “experiences” (how often do you get to bicycle in the savagely beautiful surrounding that is the Cape Peninsula?), and takes you out of Cape Town proper to see some very interesting highlights of the region. I booked the tour directly through Bazbus.com, and they seem to run sales on this day trip (for R 800 pp) sporadically. The company is obviously targeting a younger demographic (since they offer pickup from lots of hostels and backpacker accommodations), but I think that’s also why it includes the range of activities that makes this day trip so good -- if you’re just looking to be chauffeured in a coach all day, then this may not be for you. All in all, this was a great day filled with variety, activity, and a lifetime of memories, which I would highly recommend.
