Owner description: The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

“Cool to see”

I had some free time so I drove over to this stadium. Very easy to get to and easy to see from many parts of the city. Worth seeing if you have some extra time in Cape Town

“A great place to picnic with the kids, walk the dogs or ride bikes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2013

The playground at the park reminds me of European playgrounds - great equipment, rubberised surrounds, lots to do. But I love the surrounding of indigenous gardens and being a stones throw from the Mouille Point boulevard. Easy to pop over for a nice take-away latte or a lunch.

We've had picnics here and taken the kids bikes along as it's a nice big safe space for them to ride or run around. They also loved the indigenous gardens with explanations about the traditional uses of plants and kept asking questions.

Only downside - it can get a bit crowded on weekends, but there is enough equipment for everyone.

“Great place for a free kids outing”

Popped in here with my kids, clean, very well equipped, and fun, security was right there too. Loved the playgrounds, only a pity it is only for kids under 12.

“Excellent place to use up some energy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

After Signal Hill, this was our first stop in Cape Town, recommended by our hosts, and it was absolutely brilliant as a place to allow our children to wear off energy after their long plane journey south. We spent ages here as they tried every aspect of the jungle gym and the fitness centre, and also, inevitably, used the toilets. The atmosphere was great, and it says easy to get to and from.
