Owner description: The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

An excellent park, well situated and well designed and executed, with great attention to important issues of conservation & re-cycling. Fabulous for children of all ages and very comfortable and attractive for parents too.

“Unbelievable.”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

What has been achieved to create this super park, is amazing.
What was once a golf course together with an area of desolate wastland, has been transformed into a wonderfull leasure area.
The Biodiversity Garden is beautifully laid out, and there is so much information at hand.
Well worth a visit. Take a lunch box and enjoy a day out. If you have youngsters, the play areqas are a kids paradise.
