Owner description: The urban park was one of the legacy projects of the FIFA World Cup 2010. The area is adjacent to the Cape Town Stadium and has stunning views of both the stadium as well as Signal Hill. Lovely place to bring the kids to excercise or to have a picnic. It is also a learning experience for young and old. The garden is separated into ‘People and Plants’, ‘Wetlands’ and ‘Discovering Biodiversity’. The park hours are from 7 to 7 with visible security.

“Wonderful outdoors in the heart of Cape Town”

Lovely venue to stroll safely, and enjoy nature. Quite a good idea as the stadium is merely a white elephant after the famous World Cup

“Away from the City in the City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2012

By Cape Town standards this is one of the best parks for nature lovers, plain lovers and families with kids. The park accommodates walkers, cyclists (kiddies), ball games, joggers and those that just want to relax with a picnic basket and breathe in the fresh air.

“Fun, picnic, educational”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2012

Great for a sunny or overcast day, with a superb park for children and toddlers. Beautiful, well kept gardens and little creatures hidding amongst the wild flowers. Lovely for a picnic, bike riding and fun for the family.
