Excellent in every capacity. Taste, presentation, servers and price were all perfect. The fixed menu options were varied and absolutely delicious I'll be back.

The food is delicious and unpretentious. The 2 course and 3 course menus are great value and delicious. They have a good wine list and great vibe.
Definitely a lovely evening :)

Once again we had a fantastic evening out at the ever popular La Boheme. The chicken liver parfait with red onion marmalade and melba toast was delicious followed by an awesome vegetarian gnocci with butternut, feta and roasted red peppers! I enjoyed the meal while sipping on a glass of Zevenwacht Shiraz Syrah!

We look forward to returning for another gastronomical extravaganza!

A recommendation from a local on the plane ride over brought us to this restaurant in Sea Point near our hotel the Blackheath Lodge. Cute place decorated with lots of wine barrels and candles. The menu was written on huge portable chalk boards which the servers had to drag to the customers' tables. We each had the 2-course menu for R95 (about US$12) which was a really good deal. I had the aubergine, avocado and goat cheese terrine (delicious!) and my husband had the duck crepes - my choice was better. Then I had the ostrich meatballs over tagliatelle and my hubby had the pork belly - both were very good. We also had a few glasses of pinotage that was excellent. Very good service, glad we tried it.

It was a great experience for both lunch and dinner. The cheese and wine were very good. The menu changes and they will bring the chalk boards to your tableside to tell you about the specials. It gets very crowded so go early....
