“Biggest shopping centre in Cape Town!”

Whether you are shopping for gifts.. Christmas presents.. souvenirs, or merely just want to have a walk around, try Canal Walk.

This place is HUGE! The location is a little further from your usual shopping spots in Cape Town, and getting a cab back can be difficult after 9pm (shops closed). Therefore, good to get your driver’s number on the way there, for him to pick you up at a later time. Might have to pay a little more but beats waiting out in the cold!

Canal Walk has the international brands like Ripcurl, Levis, Oakley etc. They also house the local brands, and even a Toy R us! Nice place to spend a late afternoon walking, followed by dinner and some more shopping later if you need to occupy your time!

Numerous shops available for all likes and various restaurants and entertainment is available at this shopping mall. It is much bigger than your normal shopping list.

No shortage of food outlets or stores in this vast modern complex. Shop til you drop it is. Afterwards you can get a shuttle at gate 2 to the Waterfront so you can shop even more.

Canal Walk is no different to any large shopping mall. A good choice of shops, cinema's, more fast food places than health eateries, expensive parking and no reliable public transport as yet. You would need to catch a taxi or hire a car. Should you choose to stay in the city or east like Seapoint, Camps Bay and Hout Bay I would advise that you rather consider the V&A Waterfront which is a much better setting, offers as much as Canal Walk and is in close proximity to fun and fine dining establishments. It is also linked to the My City transport system going as far north as Blaauberg

This is a very good shopping centre as it has a few stores that we men can spend time in (cape union mart!) while the lady is shopping!.
Good selection of food spots too.
Easy to find and easy to park.
