We stayed here the week after easter and had a lovely experience. Despite having to make last minute changes to the booking we were well looked after and enjoyed our stay. Comfy beds, delicious breakfasts and fantastic location. All staff were friendly and helpful printing off our tickets for us and following up on lost items from our previous hotel. The tour of Bo-Kaap was also really great and I highly recommend it, even though the hills were really steep to walk up!

Room Tip: The double beds seem a bit small but we stayed in the twin bed room and it was great

This hotel was superb. We really liked its small size, welcome relief from huge hotels. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and well-designed, the staff friendly and very helpful. We stayed here for two nights, to enable us to have easy access to the city. The Waterfront area is a 20 minute walk; the centre of the city was very close. We could walk out and do what we wanted in the city. Breakfast was delicious, served in a large, comfortable dining room. The ceilings must be 5 or 6 metres high. It felt luxurious and safe.

Room Tip: A room on the second floor would be best; first floor rooms are possibly a little more exposed to co...

The history and furnishing of the hotel make this a very unique place. My room was furnished with great furniture and the spacious bathroom had a huge shower that had great water pressure. It is located close to many of the city's attractions and the staff was amazing in their service. Even though the hotel, as well as my room, faced a main road, the windows, along with their shutters, blocked out most of the noise that could have made it difficult to sleep.

The staff was also wonderful! When I first arrived, I received a tour of the building and was explained the history as well. Breakfast each morning consisted of both hot and cold options, with the hot being freshly prepared when ordered.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Cape Town! I certainly will stay there the next time I visit!

This was our first visit to Cape Town. We had two very pleasant nights at the Dutch Manor. A beautiful and central historic hotel. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. I loved the modern bathroom, large shower and especially the touch of fresh flowers. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and took us on an interesting tour of the hotel. Lovely and definitely to be recommended! Sincerely Thank You to all, we would love to come back again one day.

We started our trip throughout South Africa in Cape Town and stayed at the Dutch Manor for two nights. We really loved the historic atmosphere, the high ceilings, thick walls and wooden furniture. The staff are incredibly nice, offering top notch service. Breakfasts are served in a separate room, where all the guests sit around a large table. We found this very pleasant, as you can interact with the other guests. The location is convenient: directly bordering the colourful area of Bokaap and close to the vibrant Long Street with all its bars, pubs, diners, etc. Nice place to stay!

A great boutique hotel full of fantastic antique furniture - but yet with very modern bathroom facilities, good air-con and free wi-fi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It really felt more like staying in a friend's house than a hotel. I would highly recommend it and we will be back!

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms are quieter.

My wife and I like to stay in small hotels, and this was perfect. Antique furnishings are used. My wife had a problem in that she had difficulty climbing up into the antique bed (which was extremely comfortable). The bed was higher than standard beds. I asked the receptionist for a step stool. Someone went out and, within 2 hours, returned with an antique foot stool which was moved into our room. Problem solved. The receptionist also assisted in booking of tours. Breakfast was more than adequate, and free Internet was appreciated. The location in center of town was vedry good.
