“Awesome cheap food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

The Eastern Bazaar is always buzzing, the food is delishious and the portions are huge, and this at a very low price. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a 5 rating - the q's are always very long, and you have to q to pay, then q for your food (and if you buy from 2 or more sections you have to q at each section seperately).

“Don't waste your lunch hour here.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

The Eastern Food Bazaar is really a large eating hall that they have modeled on the food bazaars of Singapore like Maxwells. There is a reasonable selection of foods at low prices and that reflects in the quality of the food. I found the food barely acceptable and not a place to go back to. Cape Town has some extraordinary foods and restaurants ..don't waste time on this one.

“Yummy Indian!”

Super fantastic place. Even though parking is atrocious and the queue at times is vast, it is well worth it! Value for money, as the portions are massive and there's a wide variety to choice from...

“If you want to feel like a local!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2012

I literally took a local by the arm and asked her to show me where her favorite restaurant was. Of course it was not in any fancy hotel but right there in front of me! A long bazaar at Longmarket street bustling with people, smells, and noise. I loved it!

You can see everyone there: locals, tourists, your boss, the neighbor...
There are little shops featuring different eastern foods from Turkey to China and everything in between. And of course better be hungry cause the portions are gigantic!

It is worth finding it even for just a picture and it stays open from 9am to 10.30pm!
