“Indian Fine Dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

We booked to have dinner here for our wedding anniversary and couldn't have made a better choice. Service was impeccable, our waitor was very polite with a good sense of humour. For mains I had the Lamb Shank and my partner had Chicken Tikka Masala, all I can say is divine, fantastically cooked and well presented.
A lovely touch was the palate cleansers in between, the orange and basil sorbet was perfect.

Thsi certainly was the best Indian meal I have had and we will be back!

I love eating here especially the lamb chops. However you really need to book in advance as it is always busy

“Creative Indian cuisine made this the best Indian food we've had”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2014 via mobile

The flavours in every dish were exquisitely blended. Each dish was presented with real style and any queries were answered by the chef in person. The venue is really well decorated and adds to a wonderful experience all round. Will be one of our favorites.

“Good food, nice presentation, staff inappropriate”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014

We approached a restaurant that wasn't even half full at quarter to 9 on a Sunday and somehow waited 20 minutes for them to set a table and an additional 20 minutes for drinks, being asked to order entrees before getting even a glass of water.

The food came and it was divine! They have an excellent chef on staff and the presentation of the dishes is amazing! Then you see the staff standing in the corner staring at you while you eat. I don't have another word, its just very inappropriate.

At the end of the meal, again really great food, we asked about a desert menu and were told we'd have to eat in the hotel lobby. They closed at 11PM and it was now 10:46.

Slowly and begrudgingly ushered in and then rushed out. No dish can make up for that service.

“Great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014

Bombay Brasserie was one of the best dining experiences we had in Cape Town. Our servers were incredibly attentive and friendly. We had questions about the menu and the chef kindly came out to answer all of them. The food was excellent! Definitely authentic Indian food. Ambiance was nice as well. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this restaurant - a must!
