Not every day you have a bed hanging in the middle of the restuarant :-) Food was great - Good value for money

The decor is certainly ott! Something new to discover on every glance, gaudy and glittery, the table with the swing seats looked very interesting. Something different to try, a bit squashed and very loud! The food a bit overrated. Worth a visit to experience first hand.

we had a girls dinner, almost everyone had a good meal. The dishing out of hats was a little contrived but fun music and lovely waitress

This was the second time we got to enjoy this restaurant, and it was even better than the first time.

We were reserved a table of 8 but ended up only being 6. So larger reservations are welcome. (they do phone you a day before to make sure you still remember your reservation, which is nice)

We brought our own wine in (after doing a wine tour earlier in the day) cork-age is R35 for the first 2 bottles then it becomes R55 after that, which is not bad at all.

The food was amazing as usual great for a winter night, our waitress was good fun and didn't mind chatting to us about the history of the restaurant and Madame Zingara (its a sister restaurant/show that travels around South Africa)

Smoking is only allowed outside, until the kitchen closes and then patrons are allowed to smoke in the bar area. There is no barrier between the bar area and restaurant area.

We stayed till closing.

Parking can be an issue (On street parking only) and make sure you have some change ready for the "park guard" who appears out of no where.

This restaurant has become a must each time we come to South Africa :)

Although we didn't have a booking, we were given a tiny table cramped right next to the door and almost sitting on the laps of the customers at the next table. I was told there was a special on Angelfish and I ordered it. After half an hour I was told they were all out so I had to order something else. Pretty interesting venue with swing seats and crazy decor but the music is very loud.
