A cute restaurant in a fun area of Cape Town. We only had lunch there but the food was good and the atmosphere delicious.

“A little taste of heaven”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

What a wonderful name for a wonderful venue! This is no ordinary cafe, but a sanctuary for the soul. There is something quite magical about this hidden little gem nestling in a trendy part of C.T. that attracts an amazing variety of patrons from across the globe. Perhaps it is the aroma of freshly ground coffee, or the wonderful display of home baked patisserie, but as an International travel writer, whenever I am in the fairest Cape I find myself drawn time and again to La Petite Tarte which reminds me of similar 'chic' little cafes I regulary frequent in the 11th arrondissement in Paris.
The thoughtful day long breakfast menu offering the most delicious scrammbled eggs I have ever tasted, an ever changing menu which would do justice to any Parisienne Bistro and a delightful cosmopolitan atmosphere, all presided over by justifiably proud and charming owners Len and Johan, who unashamedly run this establisment with love and passion, make this one venue, I for one, will continue to frequent long after the swallows have flown south...

“Favourite Brunch spot in C.T.”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

We live in Cape Town in the summer months and are regulars (2-3 times a week) at this wonderful little Café in the heart of the trendy Waterkant area. Delicious food, great coffee, superb hosts. Len and Johan, the owners, are very attentive and prepare all of the homemade pastries and mouthwatering cakes themselves. We can even take our doggy Rupert and they very happily supply a bowl of water for him when we sit outside on the lovely tree covered terrace.

“Such a Pleasure”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

I have been to this quaint little coffee shop/lunch spot a few times now and it is always excellent. The decor is different and the little tables cute. the food is fresh, beautifully presentated and outstanding. Service a little bit slow but not too much of a problem but you are always made to feel so welcome. Try the carrot cake, it is to die for. Booking is essential as it is always full.
