Stayed at Pepper Club and used the conference facilities for business. What struck me was the exceptional service. Every request was attended to promptly and efficiently. Rooms were comfortable. Some minor maintenance needed but all in all a very pleasant experience.

stayed at this 5 star hotel right in the heart of cape town for 11 weeks during January to April 2013, hotel is lovely, most of the staff are friendly but be aware, always use the safe as if you leave anything out it will be stolen, I had a watch stolen in the second week of my stay and it took the hotel 9 weeks to resolve. The hotel is right off Long Street which can be very noisy going on till 4 o'clock in the morning and the hotel has no double glazing, also as Cape-Town is also know as the windy city the windows rattle big style which along with the noise from Long Street is not conducive to a good nights sleep.
FOOD- the restaurant is called Sinatra's and has some pictures and old LP'S on the wall but do not ask them to play any of old blue eyes music as they do not have any, I was there for 11 weeks and the menu never changed, choice of 3 starters, a soup, choice of 5 mains and 3 deserts, very limited, had to go out some evenings to get a bit of variety. a good hotel overall but would only give it 3.5 stars max as needs a good bit of upgrading before it would get 5 stars from me.

Room Tip: high floors facing table mountain offer fantastic views but get the noise from long street,

I just want to thank you for the excellent service what I got from Devonika at the Spa. It is my 7 year wedding anniversary and the spa was fully booked and she phoned all the spa's around in the area and made a booking at other spa for our couple massage. Thanks for the excellent service - keep it up.

Room Tip: I will inform you on Monday - must still go this weekend

First impressions on arrival at the Pepper Club Hotel and Spa were good as the hotel is smart-looking as are all of the staff looking after the lobby area. Check-in was swift and we were guided to our room on the 8th floor equally as promptly.

Sadly, though, this was the height of the service and the hotel failed to match our expectations with a huge amount of noise from Long Street over the course of two nights. This was highlighted to the staff who, rather than offer another room straightaway (this only happened just before our departure by which time there was little point in incurring the upheaval!), insisted that the weekends are the worse time and that the noise would be less from then onwards. Though this was true to an extent, Long Street is always a hive of activity (it is the centre of the backpacker area) and we were disturbed at times.

The room was a decent size but, rather strangely, incorporated a kitchenette with a microwave oven, a cooker, fridge etc. The strangest aspect of this was that the area was otherwise not equipped- no crockery, no cutlery.... A pointless waste of space really.

Housekeeping at the Pepper Club was erratic. Bedding wasn't always changed at times when it was necessary, towels were taken away but not always replenished, teabags weren't restocked and toiletries weren't supplied daily. The room wasn't, however, dirty and dust couldn't be found.

We ordered breakfast in our room one day (we couldn't have done so again if we'd wished to as no "order" card was left for further breakfasts!) The one order involved four phone calls to the room and no less than three visits. Oh dear!

The concierge was always helpful and it was a handy service for the hotel to offer their shuttle minibus to the V&A Waterfront as walking there is a fair old distance!

If I return to Cape Town in the future, staying at the Pepper Club will not be on the cards.

Room Tip: Don't accept a room overlooking Long Street, especially at weekends. You'll regret it if you...

Stayed in the Pepper Club for 3 nights in september and had a great stay. the hotel was clean, modern and the staff were friendly and helpful. they provide a shuttle bus to the v&a waterfront and to their property (which is currently being renovated) in Camps bay. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff provided champagne and chocolate strawberries which was a lovely treat. would definately recommend to other travellers and the hotel is right beside long street which has plenty of bars and places to eat.

We stayed for two nights over a weekend (unfortunately). Noise is a huge problem, and for a 5 star hotel, more needs to be done to reduce the levels experienced by guests. I've stayed in hotels next to busy airports and in major cities and have never experienced this level of noise and sleep deprivation.

I have also read some similar reviews, where your hotel has replied saying that the noise is out of your control, rubbish! Invest in better noise reducing windows etc.

The food is nice, but extremely expensive. The menu is also very limited.

The wifi was also intermittent in the room and extremely slow-I eventually gave up.

This is not a hotel that deserves to be 5 star, not will I be back, let alone recommend to anyone else.
