Walked to town from Waterfront and then did a tour with the APT bus around and in the city, plenty of attractions. The city was full of life with buskers. Great athmosphere and very safe

the tour was really nice, open car top, saw CT in a different light, the views of this city compare to no other. It is a beautiful country all round. The bus is fare in cost and gives you a historical overview of the famous mother city

In general,,, there were so many things to see there,, you really need at least a week or more to see the main attractions,,, beaches,,, aquarium,,,, cable car to table mountain and hikes up the trails will bring you around winding paths surrounded by wildflowers of every colour...

I used the Red Hop on Hop Off bus to get a quick overview of what the city had to offer. I didn't use the Blue bus because the tour to Cape Peninsula would have duplicated most of what was offered. Great fun to sit up top and listen to the narration. Highly recommend and the price is right!

The hotel I stayed at was located at stop 6 it takes a long time to get round to stop 1 as it only operates a one way system. I think it takes over an hour to get, from, stop 6 to stop 1,so best take a taxi to the waterfront if you are located at the start of the route. It be much quicker. However, it's a great chance to see all of Cape Towns tourist attractions without leaving the comfort of the open top double decker bus.

The buses always arrived on time, every time. My only moan about their service is the operating times. 1645 is the las bus from the V&A which is not good if you wish to stay for an evening meal or browse the variety of shops and malls.

I hope one day they start a 2 way systems and operate until at least 7pm. This will create more jobs and even more happy tourists.

Thank you for the very positive review Greg B. We really appreciate all our customers taking time out to share their experience. Thank you also for your suggestion about 2 way traffic. To date we operate pretty much along the lines of all City Sightseeing partners around the world, who all offer a 1 directional circular tour. But its a good suggestion and I'll take a look at the feasibility!

As regards the last bus back I thought I would just clarify the situation for any readers: in winter (Southern Hemisphere) sunset in Cape Town is as early as 6 pm, whereas in summer its as late as 8pm. Hence we shedule our last bus departures to be back just before or after sunset. At the moment the last bus departs Stop 1 at 16h45 but returns there only at 18h45! Most importantly, each and every bus returning to Stop 1 until that time, will return any visitor back to the city to any bus stop as far as Stop 7. Just for the record, in the summer season (Sep - May) the last bus only departs at 17h15 returning at 19h15 AND we have a 18h00 departure on the Night tour, which goes the opposite way round, as you suggest, allowing visitors to return to Sea Point and Camps Bay quite late!

Thanks again for the review and we really look forward to welcoming you back onboard one of our cheerful bright red buses elsewhere in the world soon!
