We booked the 2 bedroom apartment for 4 adults which was just about fine in terms of size. It's in a good location (opposite the Cape Quarter mall), the beds are comfortable and the linen is good quality. The inclusive breakfast was also of a very good quality. The staff were friendly apart from the lady mentioned below.

The only negatives were the unfriendly lady on reception (the other ladies were all very friendly - she unfortunately didn't have a name badge so I couldn't get her name but she works during the day time). My husband had the same experience with this lady when they stayed at the end of October.

They also said that breakfast was only included for 2 people as it only stated 2 adults on the booking form (via Booking.com) - the rate is for the apartment per night and it sleeps 4 people. Why would I book a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 adults. The manager rectified this for us as the unfriendly receptionist was of no help.

The ensuite bathroom was a bath only so 4 people have to share a shower which wasn't a problem for us as we are family but might be for other people.

Thank you kindly for your review. We are pleased that you and your family enjoyed our hospitality.
Your comments re: the unfriendly staff member are indeed saddening and have already been actioned. We apologise for the unpleasing experience.

As for the breakfast billing: As our 2-Bedroom Apartments offer 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms we have many bookings for only 2 people that do not wish to share the same bedroom - be it couples, family members, colleagues etc. For that reason, we have a standard charge of breakfast for 2 people as we do not find it fair that 2 people occupying the Apartment pay for 4 peoples breakfast. That said, the 3rd and 4th persons sharing the Apartment are able to purchase breakfast at any time at an extra fee.

I hope the above motivates the billing of 2 people for breakfast in a 2-Bedroom Apartment.

We booked the 2 bedroom suite for 3 of us. Excellent location, good value for money. Well appointed. Walking distance from many attractions. Secure parking. Clean. Very helpful staff. Cape Quarter Shopping Center across the road is very good with excellent restaurants. Spa treatments are also very good after a long trip.

Room Tip: Rooms on Napier Street side overlook a school and bus depot. Can be somewhat noisy but not offensive...

Comfortable beds, nice apartments in secure central location. The staff are helpful and friendly. Will stay here again. We were 7 people in 2 two bed apartments. Only niggles were sparse kitchen pots etc and the towels were quite old. Second apartment needed a good vacuum in the kitchen area.

Room Tip: Balconies add to living space.

Thank you for your great review - you have indeed hit the nail on the head: we are located in an incredibly central and safe location and offer expansively spacious Apartments! :)
You will be pleased to hear that we are undergoing a refurb thereby expanding the utensils on offer in the kitchens and renewing all linen and towels...and and and and.... So on your next visit you wont experience the same lack commented on - but rather be embraced by our new look and feel. :)

I recently booked the hotel for a 4-night stay during a visit to Cape Town. When I phoned to confirm my reservation I requested the reservations manager (Sammy-Jo) to please book me a harbor-facing 2-bedroom apartment with a double bed in one room and twin beds in the other. I followed this request up with an email to her.
The day before we arrived, I phoned and requested an early check-in. They declined the request and said they were full the night before. I therefore changed my schedule and only arrived at 6pm the evening to check-in. To my dismay, my room was not ready yet! Apparently due to a late check-out of a group booking. I waited till 7pm before I finally were escorted to my room. And yes... you guessed it - the room was facing the noisy street and had two double beds in two rooms. Everything I didn't want!! The manager, Liezel, tried to find something suitable but to no avail. They told me there were no harbour facing rooms available. Eventually I settled on a smaller, darker apartment facing the city. The second bedroom in this apartment was so dark that we had to keep the lights on at all times, even in the middle of the day... how depressing!
As mentioned by other guests, we also had a problem with a very smelly toilet that was difficult to stomach. We made a concerted effort to spend as little time as possible in the hotel. If it wasn't for the fact that I couldn't secure another hotel booking on such short notice, we would have most definitely moved. I would urge visitors to avoid the hotel at all cost!

This hotel would have got a 'perfect' rating from us, but for a couple of minor niggles. The 3 bedroom penthouse was ideal for our short stay in Cape Town, with secure parking and comfortable accommodation. The only let-down was a smelly drain problem (and wobbly toilet!) in our bedroom. This we brought to the attention of the front desk staff early in our stay and, despite assurances that it would be fixed, nothing was done. A great shame as apart from this we were more than satisfied with the service and facilities.

Careless owner is one thing but the list of totally unacceptable conditions and things which happened during our stay are shocking.
From totally dirty floors, feet were black after one walk from the bathroom to the bed, to no electricity due to pre paid electricity meters in the rooms.
After our first night we got back to the room in the late afternoon and found the linen had not been changed – absolute no go! My friends staying at the same room waited 3 hrs for a hairdryer, besides having a not fully functioning TV, which does only allow you to view an absolute minimum of channels.

At the breakfast room we could see staff helping themselves at the buffet, cleaning out the bacon tray. No fresh cutlery on the tables nor does the coffee taste any good.

Our first room after the initial complain had wet carpets in the bedroom, after which we had plumbers walking through the room for 30min – with dirty shoes – oh please don’t think that housekeeping came to clean afterwards.
We were then “upgraded” where the fun continued.

Wanting to order an item from the room service menu at 15:00 in the afternoon, I was told that a breakfast Bagel with scrambled egg – sadly would not be possible – having said so, its an item on the room service menu not restricted to breakfast hours.

After a discussion with the owner and manager, I was told: “nothing I can do about it”

To end this shocking experience, the power was off in the entire building from 07:30 in the morning to approx.. 11:00 - no lights, no hairdryer, no breakfast etc .. how can you book out rooms knowing that the city of Cape Town will be working on your electricity supply, completing maintenance work! Never knew I had to stay at a hotel and sit in the dark while being on the toilet – sorry my language but this was the worse ever experience! Staying more than 180 days a year in different hotels around the world – I may say that at my current stay in Shanghai, without any issue it was possible for me to order hot breakfast in the middle of the night and even shower with lights in my bathroom.
I certainly am very difficult when it comes to service and hotels but lets be honest there are limits and this has crossed the boarder!

Once again, as stated in person and via the various tourism bureaus you contacted, we apologise for your negative experience. As we constantly strive to improve and correct mistakes made -we have investigated and addressed all your complaints and have rectified accordingly amongst the various staff departments. Re: the 2-hour power shut off by the City of Cape Town: unfortunately this was entirely out of our control and could not be avoided. Thank you.

We stayed for 3 nights in one of the 3-bed apartments (7th floor, #709, mountain facing) to visit some of our favourite places in Cape Town. The mix of hotel facilities (bar, restaurant, pool etc) along with the flexibility of self-catering facilities in the apartment was ideal for a short break. Secure, underground parking. Good service.
