At the end of February 2013 we spent 24h at this Safari Reserve. I had rented a luxury accomodation which was very nice, the site itself is nice, we saw many animals on our 2 outings and our guide (Christen) was very knoledgeable. However, the food was very disappointing. We had very average food, the kind of food you would find in a 2* restaurant. And so was the way we were welcomed as we arrived. We felt like a number. We paid 800$C (=800$US) for 2 people staying for less than 24h.
Example of food: For lunch: sliced tomatos, very average pasta salad, cold and dry chicken pieces, slices of quiches, some bread, and very simple desert. For dinner: a bowl of soup, a little single portion quiche, sweet-sour fish (tasted awful !), desert. Wine to be purchased on the side, at lunch and dinner. Very average wines. For breakfast: a selection of things, and I must say, it certainly was the best meal we had...
I would never go to Inverdoorn again. When you pay such a price, you expect better quality food.
My husband has been to Kruger N.P. a few years ago and for the same price had excellent 5* food and service, and an excellent selection of wines included throughout the stay.
