My husband and I went there for dinner last week during a four day stay in Cape Town. I went in not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised!
We took the drum lesson and ate and watched the dance show. The drum lesson was a unique and very enjoyable experience; the instructor led a large group of us (all tourists) in a drum circle type of environment, and he had a good sense of humor. Participation is not mandatory, though, and one can just join for the dinner/show.
Sometimes a place that serves a dozen courses will skimp on quality or quantity, but not this one. They offered a variety of game and conventional protein, lots of veggies and grains, and good desserts. Every last bite was incredibly delicious. The quantity was enormous, and the staff assured us that they give excess food away, so we were pleased to learn it doesn't go to waste. (We had enough food for six though we were two, and no place to store it if we took it back.) The performers and staff enthusiastically performed their show and service duties. Some numbers involved audience participation, which was pretty fun! All in all, really cool experience!
