Better staff on board, old with the rude and arrogant waiters in eith the new and fresh staff, that provides great service and are very friendly, welcome to the management or changing the guard with the waiters.

Waited for an hour before the wrong food was brought to our table. Drinks only too 30 minutes. Don't be fooled by the posh ambience. We walked out hungry & frustrated.

Sunday Jazz brunch looked inviting... ok, so they didn't have any courtyard tables but we did get a table with a sea view. On arrival the greeting was friendly and then we were passed on to the charmless Errol, who didn't seem to be too clear that we were 3 people for a 3 diner booking... anyway we were shown our table that hadn't been set and that only had 2 chairs. Errol walked off to look important elsewhere. So being easy going, I sorted my own chair out from a neighbouring table.. We waited quite a while for drinks orders. Being buffet it was quite simple ... my daughter is vegetarian - all of the salads seemed to have some sort of meat or fish in them. The waiting staff looked lost most of the time. An order of a carafe of wine took an age and a reminder to arrive. We were amusing ourselves watching Errol walking round and round looking important... Going off to charge his cellphone. A nice lady came to the table to ask how we were enjoying our brunch... Poor thing was met with silence and a couple of stifled giggles... we honestly told her what we thought. She identified herself as the owner and was most apologetic apparently they are looking for a new General Manager... it was obvious that this restaurant was not managed and running on a poorly programmed auto pilot. This is a shame because Harveys has a fantastic location and a brilliant building. At no point was the buffet explained or introduced. This was evident by lost diners walking around aimlessly. It really doesn't take much to make the wheels fall off. This was a treat from my wife - she asked for the bill, yet the bill was presented to me even though she had her purse out in front of her. We gave up waiting for the credit card machine and went down to try and pay at reception. Only then did the waitress appear with the machine. By then, the tip was removed from the bill. The new GM will have his/her work cut out getting this lot back into shape during high season. A pity, because I also have in the past put clients up at the hotel. I am thinking twice now.

The Winchester is a great place for sundowners with free snacks! Try the Mojitos. The service can be a bit hit and miss but the location makes up for it!

One of the best people watching locations in the city. Whether you're heading their for coffee or doing sundowners it's a place unrivalled and somewhere you'll be returning to regularly!
