Delicious Thai food in SA! Great service and authentic tasting Thai food at reasonable prices. Chicken satays with traditional peanut sauce and thinly sliced beef and mixed peppers in oyster sauce were just two of the dishes our table ordered. All food was served hot and service was professional and pleasant. At last we have found a restaurant at the V&A that caters for the SA pocket!

For a restaurant that advertises "Consistently voted the best Thai restaurant and winner of the Prime Minister’s international award for Best Service Provider*" our experience was poor. I organised our company dinner, about 15 people. Dim Sum was cold & the filling was slightly frozen. My Phad Thai noodles were luke warm and prawns were cold. Service was shocking - very slow to get the food out and the restaurant was not even busy. For the price of an upmarket restaurant - I have had better Thai food at the Simple Asia take-away. They clearly cannot cater for group dinners.

Went there with our kids, food was very good and tasty, service was nice and pleasant. We took for starter the compo platter that was very good and then we took a wok fried dish that was great. Prices are reasonable.
Enjoy

Was really hoping to enjoy a nice Thai food dinner. Did not
happen! Service was poor....food was pretty tasteless. Did have
a good bottle of wine which we had to pour ourselves as seldom
saw our waiter. Would not go back nor recommend to anybody.

On our trip to Cape Town, we visited Wang thai on our first day itself. The location of the restaurant is pretty good. Since we are vegetarians, we ordered Roti Song Sri, instead of green curry as a separate dish. The green curry is prepared with fish sauce, whereas the green and yellow curry served in Roti Song Sri was purely vegetarian. Loved the green curry and yellow curry with the jasmine rice. The roti was a bit greasy. The basil thai noodles was yummy!

A good option if you are craving Thai food.
