The location is very central, and a short distance from beachfront, restaurants and walkable to Woolwoths food where you can buy great quality ready made food. I guess there is always the good and the bad. GOOD: small secure parking, but not enough for everyone, 3 extra spots in front of the hotel, with a security guard. Great price per night in the height of the summer season.
Helpful and polite front desk staff, modern 4 year old building with modern well equipped rooms. Walk into a living/ dining / kitchen.......tv in this room only, with 2 chairs, small dining table and kitchen with all cooking facilities. Separate bedroom with a door, and great blackout curtains.
Oversized king bed ( hard), good linens, with great air con in both rooms, amazing balcony with lounge chair and table, but there is no sea view.....look out onto tops of other buildings. Great shower. Well serviced rooms.
BAD: VERY SMALL rooms, and I mean tiny, the bathroom is like a cruise ship size, TINY CLOSET......NO draws at all, just a shelf with few hangers. There are 2 big draws in the bedside tables. Even though I said the linens were great, you are given a thick duvet inthe summer.
This was a standard room, I believe there are bigger rooms.......I would stay here again but in a bigger suite.

Room Tip: If you don't mind the tiny rooms and closet the standard room is great value.

We just loved this place. Staff is extremely nice and helpful, making all arrangements that you want. I think we had the best room #301, consisting of 2 rooms with a huge terrace offering seaviews and views on Lions Head. If you stay for a bit and don't want to leave all the time it is worth to spend the extra money. The kitchenette is more than fully equipped and everything is spotlessly clean. Interior design is warm and trendy. There's no breakfast facilities but you won't miss them as there's plenty of nice places at a doorstep away. We got our daily coffee and croissant with Boothlegger but you can also get a perfect coffee from the reception. We had a fantastic Italian lunch at La Perla, also around the corner. And do take your running shoes for a run along the coast. If we come back to CapeTown, we will definitely try to stay here again. I rate sleepquality 4 instead of 5 because of the aircon that didn't seem to have a sleepfunction so a bit too much noise. We tried to sleep without it and opening the doors but than the birds and possibly mosquitos will wake you up. But minor issue and easily ignored.

Room Tip: #301 is having a huge terrace and the only one with seaviews. Definitely worth the extra money.

Dear Tjimmie,

Thank you for taking the time to place your thoughts and comments on TripAdvisor.

Thank you also for bringing the noisy airconditioner to our attention (although next time, tell us while you're here, ok? ;) )

We look forward welcoming you back!

I had a wonderful stay at Sea point in that small hotel (20 rooms), Dessi at the desk booked for me great restaurants, attractions as well as drivers (because I didn't rent a car) for good price. Room are clean and hype with beautifull pictures from South African artists, bedding in fantastic, the area is great and easy going, nice places around to have coffee and breakfast, evan though you are welcome to use the expresso of the hotel, nice selection of wines.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Atlantic Affair apartments on a recent trip to South Africa. The rooms were huge and very modern, with all the amenities you could want. The staff were so friendly and helpful and recommended good walks, restaurants etc. The hotel is a half an hour walk along a promenade to the Waterfront, but if you want to take a taxi it's very cheap. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming back to Cape Town (which I hope will be very soon!) and would highly recommend this hotel to any of my family and friends.

Staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was spacious and had everything I could hope for - a small well equipped kitchenette, a small balcony, good shower, and importantly for me - internet access that works ! It is really good value for money, close to the shops in Sea Point and a 5 minute walk to the sea. Lovely.
