Fabulous service & welcome from Ursula & all her team. Lovely comfortable room, great breakfast & helpful sightseeing tips. Hope to return!! Take ear plugs if noise sensitive, for the 4am mosque, but it adds to the atmosphere.

Ursula took fabulous care of us during our South African visit! We felt like family was watching out for us, anticipating our every need. We enjoyed so many more of the sights and attractions around this beautiful city than we would have otherwise. The restaurant recommendations were spot on! Our stay at Rouge on Rose was perfection!

Reading all the lovely reviews of this hotel its hard to find something to say thats not already been said! The proof of the pudding is how many people say the same great things.
Ursula & Michel know how to run a very welcoming and friendly hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything is just right. The location is perfect, just around the corner from the centre of Cape Town. The hotel itself is decorated with great style and with a fabulous eye for detail. Its comfortable and feels like a home from home. We had the huge room at the front with a lovely big bath & two person shower. The bed was very comfortable and the room had tea & coffee making facilities, something that is becoming a rarity here. The breakfasts were by far the best of the four hotels we stayed at while in South Africa. We were sorry to leave and will definitely return.

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw were great!

You will have read many reviews on this hotel no doubt and I promise you they are all accurate. You just have to love this place. Well run and a real treat. My mate and I stayed for 10 nights recently and it was superb. Ursula and michelle could not help us enough and they will bend over backwards to help you. Listen and take their advice and you wont go far wrong. Use the taxi company they tell you and NO ONE else. There are a lot of people out there that will try it on. After dark it can be a little menacing so don't take chances, Marco's restaurant is a couple of minutes down the road so go try it. Great food and cold beer. We shall be back in 2016 for the cricket again. Thanks guys for a great stay

I stayed here for 2 nights and the place is a great value. My room was huge with both a free standing tub and open shower. I loved my room, the hotel itself is very charming with lots of artistic touches. The breakfasts are the nicest I've ever had in a B&B/boutique hotel. My omelet was actually a mini-soufflé with caramelized onions and bacon on top. The lady who owns and runs the place introduced herself to me at breakfast and was very, very welcoming and friendly. She helped me plan my time in Cape Town and gave me lots of tips for traveling around the Western Cape. I loved my time there. It is very centrally located so I would recommend ear plugs. I would definitely stay here again.

We spent 5 days here at the beginning of our South African holiday. We were impressed as soon as we booked We received a welcoming e mail including details of how we could arrange a transfer from the airport. A very professional service for which we were grateful after a long flight.
Suggestions for restaurants were also made and these were all superb.
We loved the decor and our room was great and noise was not a problem for us as others have suggested. Breakfasts were excellent. We also liked the area finding everything within walking distance or a cab ride way.
So much nicer than the chain hotels where you really could be any where in the world. We would love to return to Cape Town and would definitely wish to return here
