“When you're here you're family”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

We stayed in this wonderfully located hotel/bed and Breakfast in Cape Town and were immediately adopted by the owner/operator, Ursula. Like every other guest, we became "instant family". We have never had better concierge services, even when staying with the big boys. Ursula made sure we had the right taxi, the right dinner reservation, the right tour....

The hotel is in a great location for seeing Cape Town, the city center and waterfront easily walkable. The room was spacious and felt like a small apartment. I felt privileged to be a guest there.

This is a nice place, in my honeymoon trip of South Africa, Cape Town is the last station, and it is the best one, the room is always clean and tidy, there are 24 hour hot water, and thoughtful service.
It's like a home, although Cape Town during the winter in June , but the hotel give us warm!

I stayed at Rouge on Rose for close to three weeks and have nothing but good things to say. During that time, it was a home away from home. Ursula and Michel are the kindest, most attentive, and caring hosts a guest could ask for and were always there to answer questions and provide advice. The rooms are gorgeous and the breakfast is amazing too! I highly recommend Rouge to anyone traveling in Cape Town.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels in Cape Town and South Africa, both on business and on budget. This was on budget and it was one of my best experiences.

The people were genuinely warm and friendly and they cared deeply about what they were doing. The rooms were huge (at many hotels they would have been described as a suite). The location is a couple of minutes walk the Waterfront and maybe 10 to 15 minutes walk into town.

It is a small boutique hotel (I think less than 10 rooms) so doesn't have all the amenities of a bigger property, but the overall experience was great. And the food was first class.

Rouge on rose is a fantastic little hotel. Ursula and Michel were so helpful with tips and facts, especially when it came to places to dine! Both made me feel really welcomed and the personal attention for someone travelling alone in CT was appreciated. Location is ideal for all exploration activities you may have planned.

I spent only one night in this Guest House, but I would definitely anytime go back! The location couldn't be better, close to everything. The room was extremely specious and nicely furnished. Even in winter the room was warm and cosy. I liked the modern bathroom with the huge shower. Sadly we had to leave early in the morning as the breakfast was also perfect. Beautiful presented and yummy. So, a place which I definitely can recommend to anybody.

Stayed at Rouge on Rose for 3 nights in July. We could have stayed there a lot longer! The B & B was located in a great part of town that was central to both down town and the waterfront. The uniqueness of the area with its brightly coloured houses, mosques and history made this stay very memorable. The hotel itself was modern and funky. The breakfasts were to die for. I still wake up dreaming of your goats cheese omelettes! Ursula and Michel were amazing hosts. Their advice about tours and restaurants was spot on and it totally took the stress out of our stay. Would come back in a heart beat!
