Location of the lodge is perfect. Its in a quiet neighbourhood but very close (one minute walking) from the seaside. There's also a busstop where u can catch the bus to the waterfront (10minutes). The rooms are clean and quite nicely decorated. The bathroom was modern. Only downside was that the heating system was limited so when its cold outside, its also quite cold inside.. Advantage of the lodge is that they have a small camping and curioshop where you can buy nice gifts or some things u forgot to pack on your trip. I would definently stay there again!

I found it very convenient to have the possibility to book accomodation from the organisation i was going to travel with (Drifters). I travelled solo and did not mind to share a twin room with someone but as i arrived i was the only female in our group travelling solo and so i had a twin room all to myself... not bad at all! ;) The twin rooms are not spacious at all (with two persons i think it would be very crowded) but you have all you need (private bathroom, toilet and comfy bed). Breakfast is also included and i found it good and enough.
People are very friendly, neighbourhood is calm and near the water. Stop for the hop on/off bus is very near, it is true that waterfront and center of Cape Town are not so close by but that was not a problem for me.

Stayed in the penthouse apartment as no other rooms were available, got upgraded for free. Spacious apartment with lounge area, kitchen and bed. Big bathroom. Also a.nice balcony with ocean view. Good breakfast with cereals, bread and fruit.
Not close to town, you will need to take a bus.
