We were shown to our table 40 minutes after our original reservation. We waited at the cramped bar (strangely the bar is actually a smoking area so all diners come there for a puff) whilst the manager tried to compensate for the delay by offering complimentary prawn rolls and drinks to patrons but the waitrons shouting over us and bickering with the disinterested barmen got us off to a bad start.
More free sushi followed when the manager found out my girlfriend was celiac and couldn't eat the prawn rolls so must tip my hat to him in that regard.
The oyster starters were big and tasty but unfortunately both our mains of kingklip were quite bland. Disappointingly got charged extra for a shot of Amarula in our Dom Pedros but by that time we were beyond caring.
To end an average evening the waitress looked like we had kicked her puppy when we left a tip 15% on an overpriced menu for below average service.
In a location like this I don't think they have to worry about repeat customers but we definitely won't be back.
Would recommend Baia two minutes away.
