Compared to Johannesburg prices, Cape Town restaurants are a lot more expensive. When we spoke to the owner, he said that they fly their own meat in from Gauteng and then allow it to sit for a long time. The meat was testimony to this and it was not at all tough and very tasty.
We sat near the grill and so now and again were assailed with smoke and heard the chef shouting at a waiter who had forgotten to do something.
The service nonetheless was good and we did enjoy our meal albeit a little too expensive wrt decor and other visual quality.
The owner was present and visible which is generally the sign of a well run establishment.
