Description: With panoramic views of Signal Hill, Signal Restaurant provides a welcome setting on the water's edge. The menu is a unique combination of flavours incorporating influences from the many cultures that called upon this region in days gone by. The aged yellowwood furniture juxtaposed with crisp white linen, all skillfully positioned in the glow of the eccentric hand-crafted chandeliers sets the atmosphere for a new level of hip hotel dining.

High tea at Cape Grace will cost R 185 for standard, R255 with a glass of sparkling wine and R420 with a glass of Champagne. You get 3 tiered plate with 2 types of sconne(tier 1), 2 types of sandwiches(tier 2), three sweets (tier 4). Also your choice of tea (several options) or hotel coffee ( not your choice,
no espresso or cuppuchino, no you get that horrible pre-brewed hotel coffee). As high teas at 5 star Hotels go this very below average and High tea at CG cannot be reccomended.

Service was poor. Not that I expect anything but, most restaurants will ask if you would like hot or cold milk with you tea/coffee; not here, here you get served your coffee and tea without milk - I really don't want to have to ask for milk. The scone's are served with no butter, I mean really I have to ask for butter?

All of the hotels in the surrounds does high tea much better - you have been warned.

We tested this restaurant with friends. Foods was really good, oroginal and well presented. The restaurant is very classy. The sommelier attitude wasn't really professional but anyways he suggested us great wines (by the way the most expensive ones). Globally an high level restaurant

My husband took me for dinner here as a birthday treat and what a treat it was! There is a fine dining atmosphere in the most beautiful setting. The tasting menu was delicious and well portioned. The staff were so attentive - everyone greeted us by name and wished me happy birthday! A lovely evening where we were well fed and well looked after. Definitely worth it for a special occasion (if you enjoy fine dining).

My husband and I had a fantastic dinner here the first night of our stay at the Cape Grace. We arrived at 10am and did a whirlwind tour of the city so by dinnertime we were quite tired and planned to have a convenient dinner at the hotel restaurant. We did not have a reservation (it was a Tuesday) and were quickly shown a table in the half-full dining room. We both opted to try the tasting menu with wine pairings and it was delicious. The wines were fantastic, all from the same estate in the Cape Winelands. Our sommelier was very pleasant and while not as polished as some we have encountered at other restaurants, his enthusiasm and polite demeanor made up for it. My favorite dish was the springbok, although the dessert cheese course with the blue cheese mousse was a close second. As guests of the hotel we also had breakfast here multiple mornings and found the buffet to be quite good - diverse and filling.
