African Dreams was the most relaxing place I think we have ever stayed. The family, Fanie and Jeanette, were ever so friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you. The breakfasts on the terrace (weather permitting) were a great start to the day and more than you needed.

We stayed in the Lion's Dean at the top of the house which had the most amazing views from all directions. The decor of the room was of the highest standard.

We stayed for 10 days and found it a great base for Cape Town, all the coastal villages, Wine Route, Cape Point and the West coast. We did a trip up the west coast with their son, Hansie and had a very memorable day. The guest house itself is quite high up the hill with at least a 20 min walk down to Camps Bay and we always got a taxi back which was not too expensive.

Camps Bay itself has everything you need from fine restaurants, bars, lovely quiet beach, and supermarkets which sell everything you need except alcohol which is not sold in Camps Bay at all, (except in restraurants) but African Dreams provide everything you need in the mini bar in the room at very reasonable prices.

It was a lovely place for a relaxing holiday.

Thank you to African Dreams owners, Fanie and Jeanette for their warm hospitality and the perfect suite we stayed in last month. We loved it. We felt totally at home. The decor is elegant and tasteful but also somehow warm and welcoming.
We were fetched by Fanie s son, Hansie at the railway station and from that moment on we felt like part of the family.
We highly recommend this guest house. Oh, and the breakfasts were super too.

We had a great stay at African Dreams. Fanie and Jeanette bent over backwards to make our stay as enjoyable as possible and couldn't have been friendlier. Camps Bay is a great option in itself - close to the city but relaxed and picturesque. We stayed in the Elephant Room which was as spacious and comfortable as we could have wanted. The walk to the Bay is about 20 minutes. We would definitely recommend hiring a car as this works out much cheaper than getting taxis everywhere. We also did a great wine tasting day with their son Hansie who runs his own tour operator business - couldn't recommend it enough.

We stayed here for 6 nights over Christmas December 2008. We were in the Leopard Suite which can be made up as a twin or double, and was really spacious with a sofa, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. There were large glass sliding doors which looked straight out onto the pool and the ocean view beyond.

The location is set high above Camps Bay, and it would be quite a walk down to the bars/restaurants. We drove as the hike back wouldn't have been very easy!

African Dreams is family run, and extremely welcoming. Breakfast is taken either outside or inside depending on the weather. But either way you get the most amazing sea view.

I would defiitely stay here again as it's a great location for Cape Town, Camps Bay and other attractions.
