Where can I start. Let me start by saying that all restaurants in Cape Town we visited so far are lovely. But this place is a sad excuse for a good restaurant. On arrival the table was not ready. That can happen, so we sat at the bar. Ordered a gin and tonic. We got a hint of gin. Didn't get the time to enjoy it, we had to pay the bill immediately. Not possible to have it on the table. But then the food. That's where it went wrong. Fish cakes: no flavor at all. As a main I ordered the grilled asparagus with sirloin. On the site of the restaurant it says that they went to Europe to learn some new tricks. Well, the only trick they learned is how to get money out of your pockets. The asparagus turned out to be green beans. No pro, but please tell. The waitress didn't know the difference, God bless her. But het manager wasn't interested as well, apparently. We skipped dessert. The hostess didn't question why. She knew what was wrong but she is so superficial and trained to treat holiday guests this way. Awful experience.

Well presented with fresh decor and good ambience. Good menu and wine choice; 2 vegetarian main options. Attentive and friendly staff. Lovely large comfy chairs! Overall, very good and IMO easily one of the best in Camps Bay :)

We have been to Blues on previous visits to Camps Bay and it's a favourite of ours. We went back this Jan and it didn't disappoint! Great service, the staff are friendly and relaxed and don't rush you. The menu is amazing- I can highly recommend the crayfish and lingoustines! We went once as a couple and once in a big group and although they can only sit tables of 8 they put us all in one area so it felt like we had a section of the restaurant to ourselves. It's not the cheapest place to eat but the views over Camps Bay are amazing, the decor very beachy but glam and it's quite a trendy crowd. Definitely recommended for some brilliant seafood.

My husband and I had lunch at Blues yesterday. We were greeted warmly and found the staff friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was lovely, buzzing with energy and soft music. I ordered the rocket and avo salad. My husband the Tuscan steak tartare. They were both great. We followed with the burger and seafood linguine. The stack of layers on the burger was exciting and the fries were hand cut and crisp. The linguine was cooked just right and the calamari, prawns, mussels and fish sauce delicious. We finished with lemon and passionfruit sorbet.
Thank you for a brilliant Sunday.

Spent two weeks in South Africa and ate out most nights (apart from the time on Safari) and i have to say that our meal at Blues was right up there with the best of them.

Decided against starters and just went straight on to the mains. My wife had the "Frito Misto", with a side salad and she could not praise it highly enough as she said it was perfectly lightly fried.
I had the Venison Special (Kudu), which was served with vegetable crisps and a caramelised butternut mash - it was absolutely magnificent, with the best tasting venison i had during the whole holiday.
A good choice of wines and a table close to the terrace made for a wonderful meal.

We shall re-visit Camps Bay and Blues will be our first choice!
