My husband and I recently visited South Africa for the very first time. Originally we had booked five nights at Cape Rose Cottage but we so loved the guesthouse we extended our stay for a few more nights. Pam & Steve are simply the perfect hosts. The rooms are extremely comfortable, clean and have the most amazing views over the ocean. There are probably lots of similar places in Camps Bay but what makes Cape Rose Cottage special is Pam & Steve's attention to detail. From organising our pickup from the airport to arranging our hire car, suggesting the most fantastic restaurants (none of which were a disappointment) it made our trip so much more enjoyable. We are not the sort of people to return to a destination, but we so loved the guest house that we are already planning a trip in 2009.

Highly recommended by us!

We spend almost a whole week in Kapstadt at Cape Rose Cottage and we can fully recommend this place without any limitation. The rooms, especially lthe avender and aquamarine suite, are very comfortable with a lot of space and lovely details everywhere you look. You have a wonderful balcony with a spectacular view over the sea, especially at sunset. Pam and Steve are a lovely, very helpful couple that gave us superb recommendations for every place we went to. Thank you very much fPam and Steve for making our holidays so special !!!!

My wife and I have just returned from a fortnight's holiday at Cape Rose Cottage in Camps Bay. The accommodation was magnificent with every conceivable comfort and with spectacular views over the ocean. As well as our own spacious bedroom with sea facing balcony, we had the use of a very comfortable adjoining sitting room supplied with reading material and tourist literature covering the surrounding areas.
Steve and Pam are the owners of Cape Rose Cottage and a more helpful and friendly couple it would be impossible to find. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they have a fund of local knowledge, which they were very happy to share with us. At the end of our stay we felt that we were saying goodbye (or hopefully au revoir) to real friends.
On our return to England we shared our experiences with others and suffice to say that two of our friends have already booked a fortnight's holiday at Cape Rose Cottage in March 2009. What better recommendation could there be?

Just returned from our second visit to this stunning guesthouse in Camps Bay – private, quiet with beautiful views …... On both occasions we stayed in the Aquamarine Suite which is modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. The room was well equipped and nicely furnished with a big bathroom and kitchenette with a well stocked fridge so you can prepare your own breakfast.

Hosts Pam and Steve are very welcoming and friendly, always ready to help out with tips on restaurants, activities, maps, directions etc. Even before our holiday they provided advice on car hire and other places to visit whilst in South Africa.

The attention to detail in the room was second to none and Pam and Steve have thought of everything you may need including gorgeous toiletries in the bathroom, a first aid kit, iron and ironing board to name just a few.

This guesthouse is in the perfect location – close to the stunning beach at Camps Bay and conveniently placed for all the nearby attractions. If you are visiting Cape Town look no further! We will definitely be returning. Liz and Miles, Bristol UK

We arrived at Cape Rose Cottage after the overnight flight from London, and were met with a very warm welcome from Pam . We were staying in the Lavender suite which was absolutely beautiful. Every little detail is included in the room , which is furnished to a very high standard. The bed was one of the most comfortable we stayed in during our trip to SA and the bathroom was immaculate. The shower and bath were both great. The view from the bedroom is just as you see it on their website , an amazing uninterrupted sea view. The garden was full of beautiful native flowers and native birds. In fact this cottage was one of the best , we stayed in during our 2 weeks in SA and the welcome Steve and Pam provide is second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. They even recommended somewhere to eat in Hermanus where we could enjoy seeing the whales at very close quarters. Pam and Steve both go the extra mile to make your holiday perfect. They are perfect hosts and have an idyllic home.

Loved Rose Cottage, our suite was absolutely amazing, truely 5 star hotel standard only nicer in my opinion. Pam and Steve were so helpful, recommending good restaurants etc and made our stay memorable. I will definetly be returning to this little gem.

We have just returned from a ten day trip to Camps Bay Cape Town. On this occassion we chose not to stay at a hotel but to try a luxury guest house accomodation. Cape Rose Cottage is situated in a beautiful spot high above the Atlantic ocean in an up market residential area of Camps Bay. The guest house is made up of 3 luxury suites, of which we had booked the Lavender Suite. The suite was large and beautifully decorated. The bedroom had patio doors which opened up onto a spacious balcony with breathtaking views of the Atlantic, whilst the rear view was of the Twelve Apostles. A well supplied kithenette enabling one to have breakfast or lunch was great, and a beautiful bathroom completed the suite accomodation. Tasteful extra touches in the suite made one feel completely at home.
A beautiful shared lounge area, containing a well stocked honesty bar was perfect again and meant sundowners were a must every evening on the balcony. (There were some stunning sunsets)
Pam and Steve were the perfect hosts. They were welcoming and attentive and ensured they met all our needs .
We chose to go down to the beach most days which was either a pleasant 30 minute walk all downhill, or 10 minutes in a taxi. Evenings were taken up sampling the great choice of restaurants in Camps Bay , again easily accessible from the property.
We were so impressed with the property that we wll definately be going back, and in fact have already booked close family into the
property for next February!
